Colts Neck Golf Club
About
Colts Neck Golf Club is one of central New Jersey's most popular courses. The diverse course offers everything from Scottish-style bunkers to sparkling lakes. Tall golden fescue rough borders the fairways and the greens are large and undulating. The course is seemingly short at only 6,236 yards but it shouldn't be taken lightly. It's much more challenging than it appears. The layout finishes with two of its toughest holes. The 17th has a tough green fiercely guarded by out-of-bounds and the course saved the most difficult hole for last. This par 3 will test even the most seasoned golfers. In addition to the golf course, Colts Neck also has a 25-station driving range that stays open late. It's a great spot for getting in some practice after work.

Ok course for hot list price
The course is in very good shape, greens are very, very fast, but the hole locations were on side hills and mounds most of the round. The staff is excellent. Pace of play was brutal, had to leave after 16 holes because I had to be some where at 745 and I left at 715. I teed off at 235. The only disappointing part about this course is that there are 6 par 3's and you finish on one
Pristine conditions
Like everything else in Colts Neck, absolutely beautiful. Some challenging doglegs and the greens are perfect. Tough finishing hole as 18 is a long par 3 over water and usually into the wind.
Nice course. Could be more accomodating
Nice couse in very good condition. A couple of odd holes like the par 3 where you aim over the carts of the golfers one hole behind you and the par 4, dogleg left with the pin directly behind a huge oak tree and the 426 yard par 5. Two things they could improve upon. First, get competent rangers. We played the fron nine in over 2.5 hours behind a threesome that played like they were at the Masters on Sundaay afternoon. They had at least 3 holes open ahead of them, yet the ranger was more interested in chatting up the cart girl than doing something about them. The other thing is that they won't serve you at the bar if you're not a member. Not very hospitable if you ask me.
Nice and Pleasant track
Had a nice time, pace on the back 9 was a bit on the slow side , but over all very nice experience...
Be back for unfinished business !
nice round
Nice course for the price. Good pace of play. Need to see some good choices of Hot Deals on site, very lacking this year so far.
Course was in pristine shape
The course was well groomed with the greens in pristine shape. The rough was cut but extremely thick due to all rain the area has been receiving. A well placed tee shot was essential. The staff was friendly and helpful. There's a lot of variety with well placed bunkers, challenging tee shots and a couple of 190 to 200 yard par 3's. All in all it's a wonderful course and looking forward to playing it again.
Sporty Course
The course was in great shape, the help was extremely friendly, helpful and the price was right. A very good day and I would recommend this course and site to anyone.
lucky sunday
The course is beautiful and in great condition. I felt very lucky to get a same day tee time. The course is as tough as you make it. Lots of fescue but if you hit the ball straight you can score well.
Course in excellent shape
All Pros, no Cons for this round. Greens, Fairways and tee boxes in great shape. Greens very fast.
Pace of play was excellent this round (3 1/2 hrs).
Practice facilities were good.
GolfNow Tee Time Deal was well worth the money.
Great shape
This course is well worth the GolfNow price. The weather was slightly raining but the fairways and greens were in tremendous shape. Would recommend playing this course. Daily rates are quite expensive so I will be looking for another hot deal.
Make sure you have all your shots in the bag.
The course gives you opportunities to go for it but not without risk. There are some visually deceptive features in addition to a premium on position for your approach. Just when you think your are going to score the greens jump up and bite you.
Nice Course
Course is in great shape. Decent practice facilities and pace of play in the afternoon. Biggest complaint was many of the tee boxes were not level, or even close to it. Not sure I'd pay their full freight price, but it's worth a go on a hot deal.
Great course
Great course for the money. Would recommend they open up the snack bar on 9
Or send a cart out once in a while.
Confusing
I understand this is a club that wants to offer beneftis to members and reasons to join. The course itself was in good shape, well maintained, very interesting, and a lot of fun. The pace of play was very poor, there were no restroom facilities to be had that we could find other than members-only, and they will not allow outside beverages or sell beer to non-members. At the conclusion of our round, which we drove by someone teeing off hole 3, the clubhouse was generally shut down. No more food/beverages, no bathroom access. Return cart and go home.
A fun and interesting golf course, the people we met rangers, starter, cart personnel were very nice. But from a facility standpoint it was a monumental letdown.
Fantastic
This golf course is grade A. Perfect conditions and it poured rain for a day and a half before we played i thought the course would be soaked. They had a staff member drying the greens with a leaf blower for mor than excellent conditions. If you are going to play this course it is an awesome atmosphere with some decently challenging holes. I will play here as much as i can and considering membership
Challenging, well-maintained, reasonably priced,.....
Professional and friendly staff
Challenging course to play but still enjoyable to players of all levels (from observation)
Reasonable green fees
Some ball washers with no water or broken
Pleasant Day in Central Jersey
Colts Neck presents a fairly straightforward day of golf. The course layout isn't all too complicated and hitting the ball straight can lead to low scoring. There are several risk/reward opportunities on the par 5s which may explain my 4 birdies and 4 double bogeys on my scorecard.
Overall, there is a nice practice facility and the course was in great shape for early April, I expect the greens will be in great shape in just a few more weeks.
nice course
Well maintained course with friendly staff. Early in season but lots of staff working to get it ready. Too many par 3s for me to play all the time but would come back.
Nice course SLOW PLAY
Nice course & facility. Partnered with a husband & wife. Both very nice and fast players for double digit hdcps. There were 2 holes open ahead of a VERY SLOW GROUP that was 2 groups in front. No ranger to keep pace moving. Walking jr golfers became impatient & hit into us twice. They sat & commented that the lady shouldn't be playing. ( pace not her fault). Also some groups started on 3rd hole, also slowed pace. Waited 5-10 mins on many shots. Husband & wife left after 12 holes.
Great deal with Golf Now
Colts Neck is one of the best courses in NJ. The wind and overcast made it too cold but I blame that on the weather forecast. Golf Now tee times is very limited and hope they provide more tee times. Otherwise, it's too expensive to play.
