Hole 3 is still under construction and flag for hole 2 was in middle of fairway. So your only playing 16 holes
Improving course layout
The new owners are doing a lot of work on the course and the buildings on the property. Hole #1 removed trees and added a bunker, #2 removed trees, #3 is temporary closed while they re do the bunker, #8 removed trees and added a bunker, #11 removed trees, #13 is redoing the bunker and #18 removed trees. I also heard that they are renovating the farm house to turn it into a bed and breakfast.
Beautiful day
Greens are in great shape. Couple holes were closed. They were working on them. Played with a couple. Random guys were rushing around running up to the green and hitting balls. No big deal. We had a great day. Thank you.
Potential
Course would be pretty decent. Super backed up. Hole 3 was closed and the green on hole 2 was being worked on. They put the pin in the fairway next to divots. You would think this course would have been prepared for the season.
The course isn’t ready to play
No notice saying one hole has been closed plus temporary greens and a hr delay first thing in the morning because they unplugged the computer and there is reason I payed that much to play a botched course as it was my first and might be the last
Mr Bru Bru
Great layout. The owner is making excellent changes to the course. People just need to respect it and clean up their ball marks and divots.
I think making hole 10 the #1 hole I think it would speed up play.
Overall Highly recommend playing this course and it’s going to get even better.
Friendly staff!! Played many years here!! They are doing very Golf friendly upgrades!! The new bunkers look great with the rest of the course coming along nicely.
Gambler Ridge
The course was in fairly good condition, especially considering it’s coming off a rough winter. There are improvements currently in progress, but they didn’t interfere with play for the most part, aside from the par 3 14th hole, which was not playable. The pace of play was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating throughout the round. This is one of my favorite courses, and I’m looking forward to seeing the finished product once all the work is complete.
Recent Renovations
Seems like owners are putting a decent amount of money into improvements. I enjoyed my round!
On the up
Course ownership is clearly serious about their investment. Tree work is noticeable, a lot of bunkers being refurbished. I think by the end of 2026 this course will be a MUST play. I would also like to add when new ownership took over the staff effort and attitude really improved. Special shout out to Bill, great guy very helpful really appreciate guys who engage with an amazing attitude. I know it’s an old cliché but attitude is everything
I had a lot of fun playing this coarse. I will definitely play here again when the weather is warmer and ground isn’t frozen.
New lay out
The new owners have made great improvement to course and restaurant. The took out a Lot of trees, making it more playable.
