Great course, great friendly staff, the course is always improving
Love playing here never a bad time
Staff is great
Course is always improving
They got rid of a lot of trees so it’s very beginner friendly and open
The back 9 is beautiful with water and open fairways
You’ll enjoy for sure
Great course for the price
Really good experience playing at Gambler Ridge. One of my local courses has the same green fee and is very much below what Gambler Ridge has to offer in terms of upkeep and amenities. The food at the bar and grill was awesome.
Fun place!
Awesome day at Gambler's Ridge! Course was in great shape, you can see where the work has been done. Greens rolled true, fairways in great shape. Some tee boxes were a little thin, looks like some were being worked on..
The course isn't long, but doglegs, bunkers and water hazards keep it challenging.
Staff was very friendly, met the new owner at the bar after the round, great guy with plans to keep the course and community vibrant and engaged..
pace of play was long
Played course yesterday for first time in a long time as I heard of improvements to course. Greens were in good shape, a few were quite challenging with breaks! Tee boxes were ok, some better than others....a few seemed not to be level. Pace of play was tough....3some in front had inexperienced golfers. First 9 took roughly 2:40 to play. There are no monitors in the carts. There was not a cart for snacks/beverages yesterday, not sure if that's seasonal or all the time.
Bar/"clubhouse" after was fine. Seating inside and outside. Decent beer/liquor on tap. Menu was burgers/sandwiches and appetizers. Will go back to see if pace of play improves.
Slowest play ever!!!
Got a hot deal on golf now so gave it a try. Teed off ten minutes behind and play was very slow. By the 11th hole we were 3 deep on the box with a group on the green and that’s where we stopped playing. The course was too short for how close the tee times are. Course was in fair condition. Our pace of play when we quit was 5 1/2 hours.
Nice course on a beautiful day!
Got a great deal on GolfNow. This used to be our go to course until the new owners pretty much doubled the price. The course is in about the same shape and playability as the two neighboring courses, Cream Ridge and Hanover. That being the case it becomes a matter of shopping the best deal of the day. It is a very well maintained course, the clubhouse has all the right amenities, and the staff members are all polite and in general a real class act!
Fair, as plusses and minuses.
Sept 25, 2025 Greens and tees in good shape.
Would be nice if they would wipe off the cart seats on a wet morning.
Even when asked they did not.
So, service rates as "poor"
Rough was tall and thick, made for some challenging shots.
But that is OK, although took some time to find balls not in fairway
as balls nestled lower than grass height.
Enjoyable
Good little course, nice mix of holes. My wife loved it because of the scenery. Greens in good condition. Great value if you get it on a Hot Deal
Mr BruBru
New owner doing a Bang up job. Lot of trees taken down wider fairways. Even with aeration the greens were true constant and fast. Fairways cut perfect.
Tee boxes a bit chewed up.
As usual I fixed a load of ballmarks on the greens and 7 big divots on fairway 15!!!
People please take 7-8 seconds keep the course nice for Everyone.
Sue in the pro shop and Brian the starter r a Pleasure to deal with.
Gambler Ridge Review
Course was in good shape for this time of year, especially the greens.
Good course, Great hotdogs
Course layout is fun and challenging at moments the new owners are keeping the place solid. Fairways and rough are in solid shape. Biggest agitation playing was the fact there is not a single yardage marker throughout the course. It felt like flying blind into shots being too broke for a range finder. Add some yardages on sprinkler heads or bust out the steaks that were in place. Staff is phenomenal there and the big dogs never disappoint.
Mr Bru Bru
WOW!!!! This course is now wide open. The new owners r doing a Great job. Hopefully this will speed up play. Fairways r really nice. Greens very consistent.
I just wish the lazy ones would fix ball marks on the green and replace divots.
I think they need to put the containers of seed mix on the tee boxes so we All can fill in our divots on the tee boxes.
Get out and play u won’t b disappointed
Love this Place
Played here several times last year and it was ok. I’ve played here 3 times this summer. The improvements to the course under new ownership are very evident. Greens fairways and tee boxes all in excellent shape. Now keep in mind that I’m no member of the PGA. A good day for me is 102! I look forward to having a burger and a beer at their grill after my next round.
Play Somewhere Else
Any turf off of the fairway was dirt and weeds - unplayable.
A rude groundskeeper followed us up a fairway trailing 30 feet behind each of us with tractor running - very rude.
