You get what you pay for. Overall not bad. Hot dogs are awful

Course was in good condition, but weather compromised the round as we were cart path only due to the heavy rains the days before and the high winds. We were making good pace with the group ahead of us, until we made the turn when the groups in front of us switched making for a longer round. Didn't help matters when our cart got hit by a errant tee shot from them between 16 green and 17 tee. They claimed they yelled fore, but happed so fast not sure if we heard them. Other than that, it was a decent round of golf.

Perpetually Cart Path Only, I am crossing this course off my list until a drainage system solves the ponding everywhere problem or we get an extended dry period..

I have played many courses in NJ but I always like Gamblers because the course layouts are easy to my eyes and the course condition is always good.

Played this course plenty of times never any complaints! But this round was a lot different! The greens were air raided and they had fertilized it as well! Every green had holes fertilizer rocks!! If there’s a need for hat and obviously there was. The course should have been shut down for he day or at least price it accordingly! Very disappointed in Gambles! I hope this isn’t a start to a downhill decline!! I’ll give it a go again and I hope it’s different!! Do Better

I’ve played this course on a regular! Never any issues until today. I realize that greens need to be air raided and fertilized! But both at the same time? Unacceptable! Putting on holes and rocks! You should have shut it down for the day especially knowing rain is on its way! Do better or at least charge the price accordingly!

Course was in decent shape except for the Tee boxes and the greens were covered with a small granular substance making putting impossible

No starter, first cart I got in didn’t start, second one I had to step on the gas for 3 seconds before it started moving, 9/18 greens had two holes because they can’t fill an old hole, greens were basically conditioned as fairways and full of old divot holes, some tee boxes look like they haven’t been cut since last season. Spend the couple extra bucks on a nicer course.

Horrible course, greens are in terrible condition along with the fairways if you even want to call them that. Only positive is the pace of play because no one plays here so you can play as fast or as slow as you want. That doesn’t matter though because this course is worth about $5 to play and the carts barely even start up. The best part is more than half the greens have a second hole that they just haven’t bothered to fill in.

Greens need work and a few fairway are wet mid way

Last time i played here was in 2012, used to play here regularly from 2008 to 2012 when i was living in Howell. rates are good. i caught a Hot Deal, 2 for $60 with cart. came out here with my son, and turns out it was car path only due to the torrential rains leading up to the day we played. The white tees were moved up to the forward Teebox. we had an enjoyable round, tee boxes and greens were in very good condition considering it was early March. fairways were very good too, but considering the amount of rain there were some holes that were very soggy.

Great course for its money. Right next door, cream ridge charges noticeably more and is very similar in course quality
