Marathon round
I haven't played here in four years and now I remember why. The round was over 5 hours. The fairway grass was tall, the greens were slow and bumpy as if they were aerated but they weren't, the "fringe" grass was just as tall as the fairways. There were plenty of rangers, not speeding up play, just making sure nobody drove the carts on the fairways.

Slow Play caused by poor management
We were made to wait for our scheduled tee time ( which is fine when the course is busy) but it only bunched 3 groups up with no one in front of the first group slowing everything down. Making us wait did not increase the income to the course it only caused everything to slow down and actually limited your potential for more play and at a better pace.

GREAT CONDITION!
I played about 5 different courses the past 2 weeks Gamblers Ridge was by far in the best condition. Although I gave up many strokes to the thick rough it was a refreshing difficulty. You can not beat the price! It is a must play.

Gambler Ridge
Course needs work, tee boxes and some greens. Needs better maintenance of grass off fairways, found it to be very high.

Great course for a great price
No complaints about the course except for the greens need to be rolled and smoothed out but if that’s the worst thing, then it’s a winning score compared to many many other courses around. Try to play here once every 2 or 3 weeks and will definitely continue to do so.

Nice little course with a great back nine.
We'll give this course a higher rating but they would not enforce the pace of play, we asked on 5. We asked on eight and at ten we gave up after they wouldn't do anything about it. It just was one group holding up play We skipped to twelve and played the last six holes in an hour and ten minutes. That is great if only they enforced it on the front nine.

Nice course, No pace of play enforcement
Although gambler's ridge is a short course it is a pretty nice course especially the back nine. On the fifth hole we reached a group in front of us that was very slow and after a few holes notified the ranger. He came and did nothing. On the tenth hole we asked again and he told us there were groups ahead of them that were also slow and there was nothing he could do. We saw empty holes ahead of them and on the eleventh hole gave up and passed that group. We immediately played through very quickly the rest of the course I never was held up. They do not enforce pace of play and that really hurts their course otherwise it is a very nice place with very friendly people.

Great for the money
Great value for the hot deals price. But the greens were furry as heck. A lot of fur patches. But again, for the value of play every week.
