Need more yardage markers
There were only 150 yard markers so you had to either walk off yardages and hope you were right or just guess. I missed a lot of greens short. Bunkers were in horrible shape but everything else was in very good shape, especially for August on a public course.
Good but Needs Improvements
I’ve always liked High Bridge Hills, but on a Friday afternoon in mid-August, to not have someone coming around in a cart with drinks and snacks is unbelievable. And when I asked, there wasn’t even an apology. There’s no high level course where that should happen.
Also, the layout is fantastic, most of the course in decent shape, but the bunkers are awful. Rocks and dirt basically, no real sand to speak of. If they invest in getting the bunkers in good condition, this could be one of the better public courses in NJ.
Irish
Nice layout, friendly staff, pretty good conditions, fun layout, cart a must.
Greens were soft for mid-July. Course in good shape. Friendly staff
May the 'course' be with you! Thank you for visiting...
Nothing Special At All
Pulling in to the parking lot, you think you’re going to be playing at somewhere special. It’s just not the best.
Fairway are in bad shape. Weeds all over the place, and dead spots. Understandably it’s been a very hot summer of 2024.
Bunkers are (don’t even call them that) dirt. Take your ball out and play it. The defense of the course is the fescue, so it isn’t an easy course at all. Hole #10 is gorgeous!
If you’re going out on 79, much better options. Morgan Hill is 10 times better than High Bridge.
In the end, play High Bridge once every five years.
Thank you for playing with us... it has been a tough weather year... we look forward to seeing you for some more swings in the future!
Great course, with a few downsides
Course layout is awesome and it's a fair price (this is my review from early May). Pace of play tends to be slow, it would benefit a ton from having a ranger out there. Also - what's going on with this course and Golf Now? They have no openings, ever, for a single player. Is that intentional or an error?
Thank you for playing with us, we do try to match up smaller groups when booking, so please feel free to give us a call for assistance in the future! Thank you again...
Good course but needs improvement
I played several rounds in NJ during a visit, and High Bridge was the “grand finale” course. The course has a good layout, plenty of tricky holes, doglegs, etc., and has most of what you’d expect at a higher-slope course. My feedback is this: the round was expensive and it was during prime time (Saturday morning), yet there was no coffee or beverage cart - why? Perhaps this is minor, but when you pay triple digits for a Saturday morning round, certain amenities are an expectation. Besides that, I would recommend this track!
Good value
Played for the first time since 2015. Overall a good value. Condition was ok. Some of the tee box area was not well maintained. Bunkers had water.
Thank you for playing with us... we are working on those condition concerns, it has been a tough weather year. Hopefully we will see you again soon!
