White Oaks Country Club
About
White Oaks Country Club is carved from the mature pinelands of Newfield in south Jersey. Towering oak trees frame the golf course, separating each hole and giving each one a secluded feel. There are several challenges in store on this layout including massive strategically placed bunkers and water hazards, but it is also forgiving enough to accommodate beginners. The golf course does not have just one hole that it considers its signature but in fact, multiple holes. There is the par-5 seventh which stretches to a monstrous 621 yards and the par-4 ninth features a tricky second shot over water to a double green. These two challenging holes take advantage of the landscape's natural contours. The 17th is yet another signature hole, it has been voted the "toughest par 3 in South Jersey."

good day
Everything was good even though we got rain on the second hole . Even with rain the fairways were good and the greens were good. The only draw back was the tolit on the 6th hole was extreamly bad and had not been serviced since April.
Fairways and greens in great shape. The week of rain took its toll on the sand traps. They need a lot of work to make them playable.
one of the nicest courses in atlantic county for the money
great day
The couse is good but will be excellent in a coupe of weeks. The staff is working hard to correct the winter wear. The staff is very good at making you feel welcomed.
Great condition for early spring
Tee boxes could use some work but otherwise a good challenging course, will play here again
Would've given 3.5 stars rather than 3 if that was an option
I really do enjoy this course. I've played here perhaps 8 times over the years since the course opened in 1999. In fact, I shot my lowest score on this course so it holds a special place for me. I enjoy the layout. I enjoy that it hasn't been encroached upon by housing developments. And the food/drink carts are readily available. The primary reason that I didn't provide at least 4 stars was the general condition of the course. The traps have a significant number of rocks in them, some of fairly reasonable size. The fairways can be clumpy with weeds. The greens themselves are in good shape even this early in the season, but the areas around the greens, including the fringes, often have bare patches which can make chipping and putting challenging.
Back in the early 00's this course was in incredible shape and they charged a fee that was commensurate with that experience. Likewise, today the conditions are not what they were and the fee is lower so from a "value for the money" perspective, I still feel it's a good value, but I'd much rather see the conditions improved if that meant a slightly higher fee. The two biggest improvements I'd love to see would be to screen the rocks out of the bunkers and the bare spots filled in around the greens.
I still recommend this course because of the enjoyable layout and because of the value.
Need little work
Course seem getting in better shape, good deal for money. Has nice par threes still lot bare spots but getting better.
Unfulfilled Potential
Many interesting holes design wise but conditioning is rough - bunkers overgrown and/or not maintained, greens burned patches, rutted areas... Serious maintenance needed
Compared to Florida
Just played two courses mid state, gulf-side of Fla last week. Coming back to the tree lined, somewhat narrow fairways felt like an iron instead of driver. Still the greens were well kept, perhaps a bit inconsistent one to the next. We were grateful for the chance to slip in a round before yet another March snowstorm! The staff are professional and friendly- the bar and restaurant are on par. On a 45 degree day the cart-girl was bundled up and in service
Warm February day
We do not usually play golf in February so we were surprised to see how good the course conditions were. The greens were in very good conditions, except for the some damage from inconsiderate golfers who do not fix the holes they make.
