Not what it used to be
This course has long been known as a great course and clubhouse. However it is not anything like it was. The greens are not well maintained and everything looks like it did in the 1980s and shows wear.. The pro shop staff is great but the receptionist is hard to understand and not helpful
Nice but many dirt areas into rough
Course is mostly playable. Wide fairways. However I don't understand why there is still a hole where the left rough is a muddy mess. My only lost ball which clearly landed in play but was not findable in this area.
Several places in rough were dirt. My lawn has to be cut twice a week. How can we not get grass within bounds?
Also, 1 person working pro shop and getting carts out.
No ranger on.a warm spring Friday.
They did have a beverage and food cart out.
Round was so slow...
Played an afternoon round for an early Spring round, so expected conditions to be ok, but not so slow. When I arrived, at least three groups were waiting to tee off and carts were being distributed as they were coming off 18, so a 1:52pm tee time ended up being closing to 2:15pm and it didn't get any better after that. Very slow, waiting 5-10 minutes on each tee on the front 9. Finished the round around 6:40pm and course was still full of groups. Hoping this was just the case of a really nice day for early Spring and pace of play will improve as the season progresses.
Solid golf course
I enjoyed my round here as it was cheap and challenging and fun
Nice Birdie
Course was very clean and playable. Got my 1st birdie on the 15! Can't wait to play when the trees have leaves.
Excellent start to the season
By far one of my favorite public courses. Always in great shape. Highly recommend.
Not bad at all
For this time of the year really no complaints couple bad spots for sure but tee boxes and greens weren’t bad at all
Centerton Golf Course
Great value for the money . Greens and Fairways need improvement . Excellent Sand Traps . Great bar and restaurant .
Great besides pace of play
Pace of play was only issue, waiting 5-10 mins on a lot of boxes. Greens were immaculate as well as fairways. Would recommend to a friend
Course has Some Best Up Spots
I play here a lot. The course is having a couple of problems right now. First, a large part of their cart fleet is broken down. So, if you're not the first several tee times of the day you need to wait for people to come in from 18 for a cart. As a result, we started 35 minutes after our tee time. The second is some areas of the course especially in the rough is super dry with stringy grass or no grass. Some areas the rough was in great shape, so inconsistent. There is very little sand in the sand traps so don't be fooled. There is thin sand then solid dirt underneath.
Course in Good Shape
The pace was good on Saturday and the course was in good shape. Greens and fairways were very good. Some areas of the rough were very dry and worn out. Hot dog from the roving cart was great.
Rough
Greens were perfect...Rough too deep for me...Overall nice course..!!
great day
Weather was great and the group I played with were also.
Greens were excellent,
Fairways were good BUT rough was 4 inches thick. WHY????
Sandtrap's were neat BUT lacked sand mostly dirt.
Pace of play on first nine (back) was great BUT on front they sent out new groups just in front of us causing 3 groups in #3 tee box at same time. After slowing pace down all went well.
Some tee boxes needed markers moved due to overuse of that area.
Overall course was in GREAT condition especially
for the end of Sept.
Will return.
