The vineyards
Very good course that plays quickly.. 18 holes in under 4 hours. Lots of sand and wind. Greens, while not large, can be sloppy.. only negative is no driving range, but you could easily go across street to cherry creek and hit a bucket if you must.
Broke a 100 ,first time this year!
This course suits my game. Short but challenging. You need to know your game. Love it
Good course to practice course management
You have to think about your shots, which is good for me. I don't have a lot of distance? So I try to play smarter
The staff are very nice. Will be back soon
Great staff, great course.
I play this course a lot. The staff is fantastic, always friendly and always helpful. They always keep the course in great shape. Even though it’s not the longest track, fast greens and a lot of fescue offer a nice challenge. The pace of play is always great even at peak weekend times. Overall the place is fantastic. The one downside is no real driving range but if you really needed to hit a bucket there is a course across the street with a public driving range.
Great, Challenging track!
Have played there a few times past couple years. Conditions were fine given it’s still early in season. Great course & beautiful clubhouse.
Highly recommend
Really surprised at the fun factor
I am a lucky golfer and play some really great courses. I was not expecting what I saw today at The Vineyards. Many will overlook the course due to its sub-6000 yardage. That yardage is because the architect chose a great routing and did not force any holes. Every hole is at least good, and that is hard to say about many modern golf course. The course was in great shape for the early season and I will be back for sure to see the course when the fescue grows in. Louis is a great Pro, and everyone is friendly. Lunch was great, and in the complex world of "Semi-Private" golf (see Scotland), The Vineyards is a real club that was really friendly, provided great golf, and it was a beautiful day.
Thanks
Vineyards
Course is in excellent shape for early in the season. Greens are bumpy. Staff is friendly. Definely will be back. Not sure about the sand because I wasn't in the sand. Course and staff top notch.
Fun Course
The Vineyards is a terrific course that I play only once or twice a year, because it's so pricey, even though I'm a homeowner at Olde Vine. Tho' the course is not a very long course that requires one to be dead-on off the tee and a distance driver, it makes up for this "break" by being devilishly trapped throughout. All in all, a really fun course. I'm hoping to play once or twice next month, when, presumably, off-season pricing for seniors will be in effect.
Place to play
Staff always friendly and helpful. Course always in fine condition. Not long but a good challenge for any golfer. Anxious for season to start so I can play this course again.
Play the wind
Great course in great shape. Its all about the wind.
Recommend hightly
a great round course in great shape and the restaurant was food was excellent
Nice Wed. golf
My rating would. be better if there were fewer airation pieces in the fairway.
Links style like I love it.
Coming from Chicago and playing Harborside and the Irish at Whistling straits, this course is like home. Not as challenging as the others but love the style. Strongly recommend. Hope to get out once again before its over.
Aeration issue
I have played this course many times and always felt it was 5* quality. This is first time i have had issue with course. Greens not recovered from aeration 25 days before, (they looked like 7 days post aeration), there should have been notice of condition, thus the 4*. It was like putting on the bottom of a spikeless golf shoe. Other than the greens the course was in great condition. Short course but plays decent from tips. Missed fairways costly (lost balls and playable lies). Sand, wind & fescue quite prevalent. I like the layout but if you bomb it off tee this this course may not be to your liking. 3Ws and irons are enough for most holes if you're long off the tee.
