Fun and Rewarding
Pistol Rock (formally known as Paradise) is under new ownership as of Nov 2025. The course is really fun. I have a blast every time i play it and i play it quite a bit. Its super rewarding, meaning if you hit a decent drive, on many of the par 4s and one of the par 5s it puts you into good position to score well on the hole. There are some challenging holes as well, and some really pretty ones (looking at you #2 and #5). The greens are running true, the fairways are well kept, and the place is looking good.
This place is a great spot for beginning golfers, and for good ones. Its also got delicious ice cream and specialty sodas. Definitely worth stopping to play here.
Great quiet, relaxing 9-hole round
I thoroughly enjoy stopping and playing the Paradise course as we travel through the area; if I have time, I generally attempt to make it a stop on my treks to southern Utah; it is a quiet course during the week when I stop, and barring them being closed, I can get out without any hesitation; the layout is quite fun and provides ample challenge for beginners and intermediate players, and I noticed there are black tees for those who feel they are that level of player; if I lived closer, I would imagine I would play there more often; the greens and fairways were in great shape, and except for the wind that blew from every direction during my round, it was a great round that allowed me to work on some details of my game; I would recommend it as a quiet stop to stretch your legs and and swing your clubs; if my wife played, it would be double the fun.
