Course needs serious maintenance

I have not played At Douglaston in years and it looks like this will be the last time I ever play there. Fairways were falling apart and the course layout was confusing with no visible signs. Avoid at all cost

Short course. Nice greens. Players do not fix divots anywhere. For some reasons must if not all green borders are grassless. Soil borders

Douglaston is a little shorter than most with 7 par 3's, but the layout is challenging. The greens Are not easy. The course is in very good condition

Nice Course but.....

Douglaston GC has a challenging 18 hole relatively short but hilly layout. The fairways are in excellent condition for a public course due to restrictions on cart accessibility. In fact, unless you can place your shots with some accuracy you may be better off walking the course. The rough is VERY high and much time is spent looking for balls that are just feet (sometimes inches) off the fairway. That said, it was a fairly quick round and mostly enjoyable. Would play again and recommend to others.
