Music in carts??.
Beautiful course but people playing with us had music in their golf cart. People in the group in front of us had music too! Very surprised because it is a quality golf. Unacceptable.

It's not no fun police I mean you need music to play golf ? You are obviously a covid golfer . If you want tunes pick up bowling, plenty of music at the bowling alley and then you won't be running around the golf course taking 5 and a half hour to play . You do run around the golf course right , because I have never seen so much running on a course since covid .

Overall golfing experience was nice.
Wasn't impressed with the lack of flexibility for out of country visitors, who travel with one bag and TWO sets of clubs. One staff member was very rigid and insisted we have a second bag to play. I suspect this employee has never traveled and incurred extra baggage expenses.
Hence the rudeness.

Wide Open and Forgiving
Unlike most courses in the area covered in water, San Carlos is a nice bomb and gauge course for the most part the allows you to spray your ball a bit and not lose it, aside from a handful of places. I feel like that's a critical aspect in it's favor for the average bogey golfer.
Beyond that, conditions are solid and greens roll true, course is overall nice and a good value relative to others in the area, especially if you can get a Hot Deal. Loved my 2 rounds here.
