San Carlos Golf Club

As my usual venue was under annual maintenance I chose San Carlos as it is a great value for money. It’s a friendly course with enough difficulty to challenge you, but the staff are friendly and responsive

I have played here since 1994 and always loved the layout. The front is challenging and the back is a fun stretch all the way to the finish. Ranger does not marshall the course and states, "everyone is right on time and playing to the pace of play" yet still you wait on every hole sometimes for 5 plus minutes, so patience is a must when playing here. As a public course it gets plenty of play and the tee boxes and greens reflect that. Regardless, it is still one of my favorites to play....but is slow play worth the value??? you decide.

The course was in great shape and the staff was extremely friendly. The only issue we had was the foursome in front of us were extremely slow. It took over 4 and a half hours to finish the round. They need a ranger to help speed things along.

I haven't played here for a couple of years. The fairway grass has never been better. The greens were smooth and pleasantly fast. The staff was very friendly and offered to let group of 6 go out as two threesomes instead of 4 and 2 as booked. I will definitely be back, and recommend the course.

A real gem. Open fairways with some tough homes. Great pace of play.

I love playing the back nine at San Carlos. The course in in great shape, the people are friendly, I tee off at 8:22 and I’m home before 11:00.

My wife and I have played San Carlos 3 times in last couple weeks. We love the layout and the course overall. I will say that the staff at this course are the most friendly, and helpful, of any course in the area.

It is now our preferred course and looking forward to our next round.

As always staff personnel were excellent.. day was complete when there were no backups Good timing and spacing.

this was my first visit to your course and I was un aware of the rules and regulations. I parked in your lot and walked my clubs up to the cart attendants. While dropping off my clubs I asked "are coolers allowed" and was told unfortunately not, so I said ok no problem and proceeded to walk back to my vehicle to grab my cooler to transfer only water and ice. I was greeted out on the lot by one of your board members by the name of Art. This gentleman told me that coolers weren't allowed as well and if there was any alcohol in it that he would see to it personally that I be kicked off the premises. I told the gentleman i did not have alcohol that i only had water and ice and i was simply walking over to transfer it .Not once did he verify what was in my cooler nor did he see me put any alcohol in my cooler because there was nothing in my cooler except sparkling water and ice, which he then proceeded to walk back to my golf cart and physically load it with ice and water.the entire incident was uncalled for and unprofessional. It really put me in a sour mood all day which was supposed to be a great day of having fun with friends.
