Course is a great value, and a hidden gem
I thoroughly enjoyed being able to get out and sneak in 18 in on average 2 hours playing alone. I was able to get out at 3:30 when carts had to be in by 5:45 with sunlight. My only issues were having to pay half price for a rider fee. My dad just wanted to come join to watch as he could play due to shoulder surgery so the extra fee felt a little much for having someone just ride along. I had to go around a twosome as they wouldn’t let me play through so a Marshall would have been appreciated for a full round. But a group playing in front of the group that didn’t let me play through did let me play through and allowed me to finish 18. Greens were great, sand was well maintained and the carts were very accommodating. Overall good experience, it was the golf etiquette of the other players and the cost of the rider that was my only issues. Would definitely play again.

Nice course
Every time I play this course it gets better
This last time they had removed a couple of bunkers they were in a terrible position
And added new sand to a lot of existing bunkers

Course very good, Staff not
I played here one time a week almost every week until July 30, 2022 and have not been back since. I was kicked off the course for wearing a Tiger Woods Mock Net shirt - the same shirt he wore in the British open. Apparently, this is the only course that doesn't know what theses shirts are. Most courses have a sign saying collar or Mock Neck required. Have not had a problem with any other course.

Great first experience

Unbelievable slow without anyone taking care to improve it, ranger just looked at it

Overcast, Windy & Wet (Just like SCOTLAND!)
We knew that the weather forecast was calling for cooler temps, wind, and rain when we booked the tee time - but we thought that we were up for the adventure so we journeyed North from Naples expecting the worst. Much to our surprise, and even though we only got nine holes in, we had an excellent experience at San Carlos GC. The staff is super friendly and, unlike most golf courses in SWFL, there are very few water hazards so I didn't lose a single golf ball. NOT ONE! :) For the price paid, this was an incredible value. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were all in remarkable condition. If only the pouring rain hadn't arrived and spoiled our fun! We'll be back again for sure!
