Always love this course!
My son(s) and I play Jack Frost 1 to 2 times per week. I think it's by far the best course in the area. We usually play weekday afternoons where the pace is great. Well maintained and always challenging. From the novice to expert... you'll love your round at Jack Frost.
Amazing Golf Course!
I have the opportunity to play a lot of different golf courses and Jack Frost ranks in my top 5. EVERY single hole is amazing. This courses layout and landscaping is one of the best in the Northeast for a newly made course. The only thing that I can't fully comment on are the greens, as they were being aerated. If you are in the pocono region, this is a course you have to play!
perfect
for the price there is nothing I could say bad about the course. I,m a 20 hc . Played from the whites drive the ball decently and you,ll have a great day of golf.
Fair Course
Played it for the fist time. Had a blast. Each hole was very private, secluded and challenging. Course was layed out very nicely. Didn't care for the location of a few bunkers in the middle or near the center of the fairways. Will definitely play it again.
One of the nicest in the area.
I've played Jack Frost a couple of times a year for the last two or three years. This course, in my opinion, is probably the nicest public links in the area. It is well maintained, with good fairway grass and greens. Note that the "clubhouse," is the only drawback -- seems to be a termorary structure on this otherwise nice golf course.
exelent facility and staff
great weather, conditons and layout had a great day of golf
Great greens!!!
Despite 1.5 inches of rain the previous day Jack Frost National was very playable, especially the greens. As expected the course had several spots with standing water, including bunkers, however the undulating greens were surprising firm and fast, probably running at 11 or better on the stimp. This course has six dogleg rights and six dogleg lefts. It forces you to work the ball in both directions and hit every club in your bag. Highly recommend this golf course. The only downside was a pace of play that reached nearly 5 hours due to a much needed cart path only policy for the day.
Great course
Conditions were very good. Only negative was slow play. I think they have only 5 minutes between T times. That seemed to slow down play. We did play on Sat of 4th July weekend. I guess we should expect that pace of play.
PERFECT DAY
THE COURSE WAS IN GREAT CONDITION - ONLY ISSUE WAS SLOW PLAY - TEED OFF EARLY AT 9:45AM - TEE TIME WAS 10:05 - WAITED ON EVERY SHOT -
BUT WILL RETURN BECAUSE OF THE GOLF COURSE
WILL TRY WEEKDAYS - PACE OF PLAY SHOULD BE BETTER
Play your tees not your egos tees
The staff and course were excellent, however a 5 hour 40 minute round was not what I had in mind. Why 15 handicappers feel the need to play championship tees perplexes me. When 1 of 4 hit the fairway and 1 of 4 hit the green on a par 3'a what is the point.
Great afternoon
We got to course and hit a few balls on the range.
Perfect weather, course conditions were outstanding . Cart path only front 9 because of the rains the night before. The course is a very nice track . There are plenty of options to tee it up , we played from the whites .Will do it again next time we are in the Poconos.
challenging grrrreeeen.....
Beautifully maintained course. It may look like just another course but never underestimate the green. It makes me come back .
Nice conditions. Want to speed play? Adjust your pin placements, and consider cutting down ridges on greens.
Each cart had the "while we are young" quote to speed play. I get that and agree. But every pin placement was a "Sunday" pin placement on a Friday afternoon. #15 was one foot above an artificial ridge. One golfer in my group's putt came up 2 feet short, and ended up back at his feet. Want to speed play? Consider where you put the holes. Otherwise we really liked the course. Too bad that a mountain course felt the need to put in a bunch of 2 tiered greens and to put the holes near the ridges.
Excellent green
Play in a beautiful afternoon with a friend for the 1st time. Staff is super friendly to tour around practicing putting green and driving ranch. The green and tee box are in perfect condition. The only concern is too many rocks in the bunker. Overall, it is an excellent course.
Amazing
Started with the head pro being a fantastic host. Continued with a great practice facility. And then the round was 3.5 hours of out of control fast and manicured greens. Loved every minute of the day.
A true beauty
One of the nicest courses around...especially on a hot deal. Great conditions wide fairways with huge greens. What else do you need
Recommend to all!
Great layout. Challenging course. Will only get better as the season gets going. One thing I'd recommend to most, is to play whites. We(mid 80s golfers) normally always play one tee up from the tips, but the blacks here were tough. 6700 yards. I'm not that good yet! Aha This course can test you, but it's great if you're up to challenge..
Nice course
The pace of play would not have been slow however we were paired with a less experienced golfer. Although friendly they slowed the pace for myself and the person I was golfing with. We did stay with the people we were paired with however the people ahead of us played as 2 twosomes which also slowed the pace
Worth the trip
I heard great things about Jack Frost, so my expectations were high. The course, and especially the greens, lived up to their billing. Played in the afternoon on a damp day, but the greens were still very fast (and smooth). The slope and speed of the greens make it tough to get the ball up and down, and I found that to be the biggest challenge. Interestingly, a lot (half) of the greens seem to slope from front to back, so that is another wrinkle. Wide driving areas and managable rough allow you to swing away from the tee. Driving range and putting green are very nice. Jack Frost is definitely off the beaten path, but it might be the best value I've ever come across.
PGA caliber course and conditions
Conditions: Overall - 10
Fairways - 9 (found some spots where divots weren't replaced)
Greens - 10 (The best part of the course - fast, fast, fast - will instill some fear in you while you putt)
Bunkers - 10
Rough -10
The staff was friendly and the accommodating. Back tees would make this course super challenging. Layout was awesome and conditions were amazing. The greens are what make this course. SUPER FAST and lots of break. They're also in great shape. Didn't see many ball marks and they definitely roll true. Kinda scary to putt on actually cause they can get away from you pretty easily.
