another water hazard, another gator (or cayman). Photo submitted by John1768867 on 03/28/2016
Eagle Ridge Golf Club
I liked playing at Eagle Ridge. It was my first time playing the course and I really enjoyed myself. The course has a lot of lakes and we saw a gator sunning itself on a bank. The staff was great and the ranger was moving slow groups along to keep the pace of play going. I played on a Saturday in April with beautiful weather and the round took four hours. Perfect.
Good Value
Course was in good shape and staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was that the greens were slow. Maybe as slow as a 9 on the Stimp meter.
Nicely maintained
Tee boxes and greens in very good condition. Nice, Wide fairways and water on several holes. I played White/Gold as recommended by starter since it was first time playing this course. Will come back and play from the White tees.
Great greens at Eagle Ridge
Managed to get a very swift 18 holes in at Eagle Ridge, & was pleased with the conditions of the course given the extensive rain during the morning. The greens were in great shape & the ball was rolling well
Great course at a reasonable price. Pleasant helpful staff. Would strongly recommend
Nice Course
Nice course and very friendly staff. Only negative feedback was not permitted to bring our own refreshments. We were told there was a cart girl on the course. When we finally met up with course ranger after 10 holes we were advised she went home. Finally found cold water on the back nine. Would return ensuring I bring my own water.
Lots of water
Course was in better shape than expected. Staff were very nice. Pace of play was great for experienced golfers, but a little challenging for youth or folks that have never played the course before. The marshall was a little aggressive.
The biggest issue for me was the amount of water on the course. It was always in play on almost every shot. With most non-directionally perfect shots rolling towards the water (see pace of play challenges). Miss fairway….straight into the water. So, course design was not my favorite. Played it twice, two days in a row..
Best fairways I’ve seen so far this year.
Buttery fairways, tough lay out from tips, challenging fun course over all. Greens play true, and fast.
