Morgan Hill Golf Course
About
The Morgan Hill Golf Course in Easton has a somewhat misleading name since you'll find more than just hills on this challenging course. Be prepared to face a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. The golf course has a dramatic design that is carved into a hillside, which makes it a hard course to walk but one that is visually interesting and tough to play. It may not be a layout for the faint of heart but the scenery alone is enough to provide enjoyment. Golfers can enjoy scenic views of the river, but scenic respite is the only break you'll get. There is hardly an even lie to be found and the severely undulating greens will test even the most seasoned golfers. Also, be prepared for a slew of blind shots at Morgan Hill Golf Course.

Morgan Hill
Beautiful golf course incredible views of PA not a single flat lie very hilly many blind shots tough tough course but incredible shape so worth it have to play it numerous times to know where to leave ball not a bombers course strategy a must
Good day with my son.
Not for the faint of heart, it's not called Morgan Hills just for location. It is very hilly. Yes I would play it again but not tomorrow.
Challenging lay out.
Played here years ago, I think it was the first season I golfed. Didn't remember much a decade later, but the layout and views are stunning and the curse was exceptionally challenging. Also in great shape. Looking forward to coming back with a fresh memory of the layout in my head, hopefully shave a few strokes with all the blind shots.
Challenging golf course
Great layout......lots of undulation on greens as well as fairways.Hard to find an even lie on most shots making it very challenging.Played first tee time and starter greeted us immediately and got us all set to play.Pro shop staff equally friendly and informative. An hour drive for us but well worth the trip...
Good Conditions but over watering
I play Morgan Hill a few times a year. A tough golf course due to the undulating fairways and elevation changes. This IS NOT a course for beginners. You’ll lose a lot for golf balls and hitting off of uneven lies all day will be frustrating. This course changed hands a few years back and the new owners are doing a pretty good job with some of the changes they’ve made. Most notably is taking the bunkers out of the fairway on the 13th hole and changing it back to a par five. Overall the turf conditions are good fairway to green but the course is being over watered. It is lush but that’s not necessarily are good thing. Courses should be a little brown this time of year forcing the turf to go deep for water. There were many areas where there was standing water and balls plugging. This was not due to storms because it hadn’t rained the week prior to playing. The bunkers are a little better but continue to be a weak link on the course. They need a complete renovation. Adding sand alone won’t do it. This is expensive but this is what’s needed to take the course to the next level. Overall a good challenging track that I enjoy playing a few times a year. I wouldn’t want to play it everyday but once in a while is a good change.
Painful
Conditions were good. Very good in fact. A lot of blind shots and no fairway indicators to assist. No rangers. No drinking water in the course and no beverage cart. Perhaps the kid didn’t show up because the course does usually have one. Nice pro shop. Starter very helpful and friendly. The pace of play was agonizing thus the primary reason for the review. I’ll go back. It’s a nice track. Pace has to be better.
Fun, Challenging, Quirky Experience
I always enjoy Morgan Hill. The reason is quite simple...... the course is unique. Walking is not recommended and playing here more than once is preferred (in order to get the lay of the land). Yes there are blind shots, yes there are hills, yes it is challenging ..... but this is what makes the course fun. It is not for beginner golfers. Mid and low handicap players will enjoy the quirky challenge Morgan Hill presents. I am a 7.6 handicap and I often play this course below my handicap because I have given it a chance and have learned the bumps, quirks, and layout very well over the years. If you only play here once you will be humbled..... but if you take the time to learn the property you will see you can score quite well here. Very fun course which I will play again often. Also recommend coming out in the evenings to see the sunset at 15 & 16 and also the many deer which roam the property. The only disappointing holes on this layout (in my opinion) are the first 3 holes which play parallel to one another back n forth. Hole 4 is a personal favorite long par 4 from the tips down a valley to a great green complex. Holes 7 through 12 and then holes 15-17 are the highlights of this course. In these stretches you will be challenged with unique hole after unique hole. Enjoy the ride.
