Blind shots, extremely hilly, well kept, friendly and helpful staff. Will be back again!

It's frustrating when you are waiting on every hole. You can't get any rhythm going. The group in front of us was dawdling. There are no rangers. This is a tough course, not for beginners. If you are struggling sometimes you have to pick up and move on. Not look at each other for several minutes to discuss "where should I drop" etc. Overall I was unhappy playing this round which was too bad because otherwise I like the course.

Cousin Bob and I played the course on a sunny (but very windy) mid October day. The course was lightly trafficked and we were able to get out right on time. The pro shop staff were cordial and the starter was very friendly. The carts were gas powered and reasonably well maintained. Having never played the course before, we were thrilled that the carts were equipped with g.p.s.. The course was immaculately maintained and a pleasure to play. That said, it may not appeal to everyone. There are a lot of blind shots and TONS of elevation change. The rough was up and we lost a few balls in places we felt they should have been readily findable. That part was frustrating; but the amazing views, design and conditioning far overshadowed the negatives. This course is in my new top 5 places to play in Pennsylvania.

Course is extremely challenging. Ignore the 126 slope they have it posted at, its closer to a 133-4. Numerous blind shots, rarely an even lie and greens are very curvy. Only major complaint was that some hazards weren’t clearly marked so what you think is OB, may only be a water hazard when you get up to it. The scenery is tremendous so take time to enjoy it even if your game is struggling. Carts have gps systems which are very helpful. Staff was friendly as well. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

Maybe it’s a question of preference but for me this course was terrible. The overall condition was poor, especially some tee boxes, and for a first time player it was impossible to figure out where you should hit the ball. The carts were from the 1960s I think. My recommendation is that you only try this course if you are a single figure handicapper or have no other choice. The views were nice though!

Love the course layout. Roughs were very high and challenging. Greens were quick with lots of undulations but ran true. For the amount of rain this area has received recently, the course is extremely well maintained and only wet in a few areas. Not many flat/even lies for your approach shots but that's to be expected with course that has Hill in the name. Love the course and the views and would highly recommend.

Zipped around 18 alone in 2.5 hrs. Some tees have blight. No tee boxes on 13 due to blight. Had to hit off the fairway. Greens were in good shape. Fairways no issues. The course layout is not easy. Not made for high hcp players. I have a 10 hcp and this course keeps me honest. Starter was very friendly and explained the golf menu of the day for the course. I had paid Golf Now online for a hot tee time. I like it here. You have got to make shots. Greens were quick on most holes. Do not be above the hole. Good luck!

Course was in great shape. Difficult course . 4 some ahead of is was very slow.

It’s a challenge with the hills and layout, but not unreasonable. I enjoy some thinking needed, with good views, interesting holes, etc. conditions were good, as is common for this course, although I felt the rough got carried away. I’d lose balls one feet into the rough. Our group spent too much time hunting for balls that were not that far into the rough. Hopefully they read this and take a half inch off to speed play and reduce penalizing shots that are just off the hilly and slanted fairways.

Rant over... but I really like the course. Good value and they always have a starter to keep things moving. Snack cart and an occasional Marshall came thru.

Bring your game and some friends. Good option

I have played this course since it opened. I have never seen it in this shape. Fairways had many brown spot that looked like they had been hit with some type of fungus. Greens were decent but a little slow. Some temporary tee boxes since regular tee boxes were closed and had weeds growing instead. Overall I would not say I will not go there again, but I will ask about the condition before paying the greens fees. Staff was courteous as they always are and pace of play was 4 hours

My buddies and I play here a couple of times each year and alway enjoy the challenge of the course and the amazing views.

I always like playing this course. And the 19th hole is one of the best in the area. The guys running the course itself a little off but I ignore this. I didn't like the fact that they started us off the back nine. The back nine is the most challenging and the last four holes are a real treat. So, it has always been a great way to end a round playing those last four challenging holes. When we went off the back and ended on the front nine it was anti-climatic. Just saying.

My foursome has been playing Morgan Hill for several years. The pace of play has become so slow, 5 hours 20 minutes in our last round, that we are now playing other local golf courses. The View restaurant is very nice and we have always enjoyed snacks and drinks after of past rounds of golf but now they are missing out on those of us as customers who have grown tired of the slow play where we our available time to enjoy their service has been removed.

Not a easy course to score. A wonderful course with many challenges. Every shot, every lie is unique.

To get around this course you must know how to work the ball.

I love Morgan Hill. Have played it many times, but this time I did not enjoy the experience as much as in the past. For some reason, the putting green was cut, but the greens on the course were not. Or at least did not seem to be because they were much slower than the putting green and much slower than I've ever played there. My biggest complaint is the rough. This course is hard enough, but six-inch rough is just too much. We spent at least an extra 30-45 minutes looking for balls that were sometimes just a foot off the fairway. Just for the pace of play, the rough should be cut or at least have an intermediate rough. They've done some good things to the course to make it easier for the average golfer, but the maintenance is really slipping. With so many good, well-maintained courses in the area (Riverview, Green Pond, Allentown muni come to mind), I would be surprised if Morgan Hill continues to get a lot of play. I'm usually a big fan, but this was disappointing. I said I would recommend this course to a friend, but if conditions persist, I will change that opinion.
