The Morgan Hill Golf Course in Easton has a somewhat misleading name since you'll find more than just hills on this challenging course. Be prepared to face a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. The golf course has a dramatic design that is carved into a hillside, which makes it a hard course to walk but one that is visually interesting and tough to play. It may not be a layout for the faint of heart but the scenery alone is enough to provide enjoyment. Golfers can enjoy scenic views of the river, but scenic respite is the only break you'll get. There is hardly an even lie to be found and the severely undulating greens will test even the most seasoned golfers. Also, be prepared for a slew of blind shots at Morgan Hill Golf Course.

Fun and challenging course

Overall is a great place to play a round of golf. Front nine is flatter and easier than the back nine. The back nine is more challenging but is also very scenic and has a lot of hills. Would definitely play there again. Only issue was no alcohol or food cart out on the course. But overall, great place!!!

Great Course, Lower Skills will Struggle

The course was really cool. Very hilly and creates some very interesting lies. As a novice golfer I definitely struggled more than I normally do and would recommend waiting to play until handicap comes down some. Still enjoyable but also frustratingly difficult at times!

Challenging

Almost every hole has steep elevation changes and blind shots..need to know where to hit and how far..views are amazing especially in some of the back nine holes. Course conditions were ok..wet and soft. Very easy to lose balls

Tough Layout with multiple elevation changes.

The course is in good condition for the time of the year. It certainly has its quirks and lost balls even on seemingly decent shots are good possibility. Looking for balls does cause the pace to be a little slower. Overall one of our favorite courses to play, and the views are spectacular.

May be the last time

the rough was very long, suitable for PGA pro perhaps but not general public. The fairways were in ok shape but inordinate number of divots. Green need attention!!!!!

Course is back on the mend

Don't let the negative reviews deter you. We had an outing booked elsewhere and unfortunately they only gave us 3 tee times instead of 8. Luckily, morgan hill was available with consecutive tee times early Sunday morning. The course is definitely coming back probably due to the rain we had over the past month. Greens could've been faster and yes, there were some spots that could've used some attention but overall the course was very playable.

Great views, terrible experience

It started when the cart died 50 feet from the clubhouse and the starter was a pain while trying

to get a new one. Should’ve known. Golf was fine for 4-5 holes…and then we apparently caught up to a large group doing an outing? Who does that mid-morning on a Saturday or allows that to be booked? Anyway, we had to call the clubhouse at 11 when we were the first of THREE groups of 3 or 4 waiting to tee off. That’s when we were told of the event. And we were told the guy who came out was “the only one here” at 2p on a Saturday. We bailed after 15 when we were again one of three groups waiting after it took us two hours to play 5 holes because we had a dinner reservation 6 1/2 hours after tee time and we’re in danger of missing. Offered us a discount coupon to return but even if I wanted to make the 2 1/2 hour trip…the course, especially tees and greens, were in rough shape. Some were terrible. Bunkers fill of wasps and hornets and standing water. I’d be mad if I paid $70 a person to play here baseline.

Bring your climbing gear

First time and last time playing this course. The staff was friendly and very personable, so they get 5 stars. The course was in average shape, a few dry spots on the greens that needed repair, but the greens were challenging and enjoyable. Now, the layout, seemed like every tee shot was a blind shot. The elevation changes from hole to hole were insane. At one point we didn’t go down or level out for 3-4 holes. Every shot is an uneven lie, fairway or not. It’s a “hill” course with links layout. Not my style of course, but to each their own. Good luck.

Slow greens and slow play

The greens were terribly slow and so was the pace of play was terribly slow, 5 hrs! They were out of mustard for our hot dogs at the snack stand after the 9th hole. We arrived 45 minutes ahead of our tee time and the Pro asked if we wanted to go out early in advance of our time. We said sure, and then he said "it would cost us an additional $10 each" 🙄🙄. Needless to say we declined. You're basically paying for the views on the course, and with the pace of play you have plenty of time to take pictures!

Disappointing

I had never played this course before but was told it was in excellent condition. I was less than overwhelmed with the conditions of the greens and the tee boxes. Not to say I wouldn’t play here again but it’s takes me an hour to get there, so it will be a while before I go back. Really great views though!!
