Walk or Ride, Talking Rock delivers a pleasant round
One of Talking Rock's interesting selling points is you can walk the course. Not many courses in Arizona can say that (most are modern designs that weren't designed for walkers or the weather is too hot to walk).
Gentle elevation changes become more prevalent on the beautiful back nine, which is tucked away from the houses in this exclusive golf community two hours north of Scottsdale. Talking Rock's finishing stretch from the 12th hole on is pure magic. The 15th hole, a downhill short par 4, is drivable for even short hitters, so give it a go and watch the ball sail against the mountain backdrop.
