North at Antelope Hills Golf Course
About
The North Course is as different as can be from its sister, offering a tighter, more traditional layout. The greens are known locally for their speed, but it is the Elm trees -- some standing as tall as 50 feet -- that are likely to capture the attention of the first-time Prescott golfer.

Great course for the price
We had a great round at Antelope Hills! The course was in great condition, the staff was friendly, and pace of play was fast! I will definitely be returning to play here again.
Antelope Hills North
Was looking for an inexpensive later in the day teatime, as I just got off the plane. Found this on Teeoff.com deal time, and thought for the extra hour drive to go try it out, as didn’t wanna break the bank after just getting off the plane.
What I found was a course that is in midwinter for Arizona shape, as Prescott is at 5000 feet and can’t get water to the course because of potential freezing of the lines. So the course was mainly dormant, but green grass on the fairways and greens. The course is fairly open , though tree lined, where left to right shot shots may catch a branch or two, but not a lot of vegetation to lose your ball. The greens were a great shape for this time of year up there, and ran very fast, probably about a 12 or 13.
The course doesn’t have a lot of elevation changes, is very playable for all levels of play bunkers were a little thin at this time of year, a little more sand and I wouldn’t of sculled my balls over the greens.
Other than that, it was a fun afternoon of golf, the quads and triples, were offset by four birdies, so a little bit of fun overall, would I play again, would be a good track to bring the boys to to even out the high cost of Phoenix courses during the Waste management open.
Nice Round
Tree lined fairways in good conditions and greens were very good. As usual, bunkers were very variable - some pretty good and some pretty bad. Tee boxes average. Terry in the pro shop always excellent.
North vs. South
Played the South course a couple of months ago and was really impressed. I left a review on here for that. This time I played the North Course and also really enjoyed it. It’s much tighter with a lot more trees. As a result, there are some really fun shots to be hit by better golfers. All four greens I hit were very receptive and the 35 putts rolled pretty true. The only nits to be picked are that some of the fairways had a few bare spots, but really not too bad, and the sand traps were just not sand, at all. They are hard compact dirt. Several were actually full of water from recent rain. If that sort of thing bothers you, then maybe think twice.
For those who care about the people, they are great. Especially the woman at the food counter. Unfortunately, I didn’t get her name, but I’m sure she’s famous around there.
All said, the North Course was really fun! The bunker thing really surprised me. If they address that then it would be 5 stars all around.
Traditional Gem
Both courses at Antelope Hills are great. But I enjoy the North Course a bit more as it’s longer and more challenging plus it has plenty of mature trees for shade on a hot summer day. Fairways are in decent shape with some worn spots. Some of the tee boxes could use some work, but not horrible. The greens are very receptive right now and not as fast as in the cooler months. Staff is great. Restaurant offers great food and service for a reasonable price. Hard to beat this place for value and amenities.
Friday on the links
Course was in good shape. The greens were recently punch but the did not effect the putting too much. The will be back to normal in a few days. Pleasant day, the trees provided good shade on a sunny day.
The Best Bang for Your Buck
I love this golf course. Very reasonably priced and friendly staff. The food is excellent and the two golf courses are in good shape, though the sand traps could use some TLC. My wife and I golf this course at least 4 to 5 times a week.
Great but slow
Front 9 on north course was awesome. Lot of groups let us(2some) play thru. Took 1+40 hrs for front 9. Back nine took over 3hrs to play. Groups were very slow with no courtesy. Thank you
