Broadlands Golf Club

One of my favorite courses to play. If you can concentrate and keep your ball in the fairway you have a chance to have a great round of golf. If you stray into the rough or the water you will need to scramble to have a great round. This is a very pretty course with beautiful homes surrounding the course.

Very enjoyable course to play. Not too challenging, though some holes were tougher than average.

Great value for a nice golf course. Playbook in cart was very helpful for a first time player on the course. I'll definitely be back for another round!

Fairways are pretty wide, so plenty of landing area. However, if you missed the fairway the rough was a challenge. One of my favorite courses in SE Wisconsin.

If the greens were in better condition, it would be a great rating. There were too many unrepaired ball marks to give it a perfect rating.

A course you can get around very easily. Great condition any time of the year. Can score, but you can get in trouble in a hurry on a few holes.

First off, the staff was great. They were very nice and I have nothing even remotely bad to say about them.

Now with the golfers on the course. I was a single playing at around 5pm on a Saturday. I went off the back and had 3 holes to fly through without any waiting. And then I hit the First Fearsome Foursome. It seemed like they didnt want to let me go through even though I was right on their tail. But after 3 super slow holes, they reluctently did let me pass them. One more hole by myself and then I hit another foursome (the Second Fearsome Foursome). They were the same way, not wanting to let me play through. This group looked for 2 lost balls for about 15 minutes and still waited another hole to let me pass.

Then I made the turn (to #1). I played the first with no waiting but then I met up with another single that was stuck behind a foursome on #2. He let me pass to get up to them and they let me pass after just 1 slow hole. The rest of the front 9 was fine for pace of play, but it got too dark to finish #9 so I only played 17 holes that day.....but what if........?????

I've been out to Broadlands twice now. It's a solid hour drive, so not on my short list of courses. But, it is a really nice course, well-maintained, and challenging holes. I've found outstanding deals on GolfNow both times. Sadly, I've had bad luck out there. The first time, I went with a friend. We finished the 6th hole, a great par-5, only to have a shotgun outing starting on every hole! Two five-somes on each tee! We couldn't believe it. And, nothing had been said to us as we started our round. We received a refund, but left with a bad taste in our mouths.
This time, I went alone and played with 3 great guys. We had a nice round going. Then, as we arrived at the 15th tee, it started to pour rain. Weather forecasts said nothing about rain. That ended our round early.
So, I haven't finished 18 at Broadlands yet. I may return if the deals continue, because I really think it's a nice course, worth the drive from time to time.

MY FAVORITE IN SE WISCONSIN, IT ALWAYS IS IN GREAT SHAPE AND HAS PLENTY OF CHANCES TO GIVE YOUR GOLF SOME HOPE. IF YOU WANT TO GIVE YOURSELF MORE OF OF A CHALLENGE THEN PLAY THE BLACKS. PUTTS GREAT AND THE FAIRWAYS ARE TOP NOTCH. THE ROUGH IS JUST ENOUGH TO CHANGE YOUR SHOT THINKING BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE.

a litle bit of organizational confusion gave us one golfer more than what we booked for. The course juggled a few things around to help us out and that was the start of a beautiful golf day The wind is always present at Broadlands, but generous fairways made up for wayward shots nice elevations and a good variety of holes pace of greens were consistent

The course itself is fun with nice elevation changes and well maintained! The tee times are way to close together at two different holes we had 5 groups on one hole, one group on the green, one group on the fairway waiting, one group on the tee box waiting, and two groups sitting waiting to get on the box! A parking lot in other words! And yes we called for a ranger but nothing changed! Just way to much sitting and waiting! It ruined what otherwise would have been a good experience! I like a lot golfers need to get in a groove to score well, not a chance of that happening here! Course management was the worst problem, only seeing the cart girl four times in 5+ hrs while sitting and waiting was not enough on a hot sunny day.

Had a tee time for two at 7:AM on Friday morning. Got to the course at 6:30 AM and my playing partner was already there and he said the lady in the pro shop told him we were playing with somebody else. I then told the lady we really don't care to play with a father and his very young son. Nice man, and he said he was told him and his son could play as a twosome. Well the lady if you could call her a lady was mad as heck that we would question her authority. She was mad at golfnow and said we were getting a deal and we basically should shut-up. The lady kept it up following us up to the first tee box and kept arguing with us. We were all shook up and ruined our golf experience. Put it simply the customer is not king at this golf course.

My Friends and I Loved the course . The 1 friend in the group shot his all time best. it was fun watching him. he Shot 70. We will Play it again...

Good fair course for any level of player. No tricky holes, what you see is what you get. Hit it well you get rewarded, miss and you get penalized. Would play again for sure.

Great Course with a fair challenge. When the wind is blowing, the course can definitely toughen up. Course was in great shape. Personally, I wish that the greens were a little bit faster, but I am not saying they were slow either. Would go back. Great value for my money.
