Broadlands Golf Club
About
Broadlands Golf Club in North Prairie is one of the most popular public golf courses in the Milwaukee area and also one of southeastern Wisconsin's best values. With a wide-open, virtually treeless landscape, the course has a traditional links design. It offers plenty of challenges but it is also not overly difficult for high handicappers. Water comes into play on a few holes, mostly on the front nine. Emphasis is placed on proper club selection, especially for the finishing hole, a downhill par 3 with bunkers and native grasses framing the two-tiered green. It is an especially tough hole on a windy day. The golf course is versatile and accommodates a wide range of skill levels. Its playability has made it a popular host for amateur tournaments and outings. Broadlands Golf Club also has a driving range for golfers to use.

Decent spring golf
Greens were a bit slow (as normal). Course was in overall good shape for early in the year. Fairways were a bit dry/hard - helped give me extra distance on some shots. Good value with early spring rates, but play can get very slow later in the year.
Not a big fan of layout of back 9 - I like to walk and there are some long walks from green to tee on a couple holes
Broadlands Golf Club
The Good: Newer upscale (ish) public facility is about 25 miles southwest of Milwaukee. Rick Jacobson design is relatively wide open but peppered with lots of sand and challenging green complexes. Very good course conditions and nice, large greens that putt well. Above average clubhouse with large pro shop, nice bar and banquet area. Good driving range. The back nine is very interesting with several holes with more elevation and hovering trees, particularly the Par 5's. Good value for the quality of golf course at just over $50 during peak season.
The Bad: Not much variety in the Par 4's or Par 3's. Much of the cart paths are dirt; no GPS or restroom areas. Poor service for a facility that is trying to compete in the Milwaukee market - lackluster check-in and staff that only appear to accommodate regulars. Weird design choice to end with a Par 3.
The Verdict: Broadlands has the building blocks to be a premier option in southern Wisconsin, but service and amenities must improve. Watch out when the wind blows!
Best Hole: The three hole stretch of 14-16 is the best on the course, but the long Par 4 #14 is the standout. A demanding drive leads way to a tough approach that must avoid overhanging trees.
CLOSED SHOP AT 2:30 PM?
Finished round at around 2:40 pm on Sunday with players still on course not many but a few went to use the restroom and buy a soda locked up tight...We were not the only ones that came to the door shook our heads and said there loss money to be spent, no bodies around and it would have been nice to go to the restroom and wash up oh well to better days.
Late Season Conditions
Greens were shaggy but that's not surprising since its mid-October and the temperatures have been in the 50's for a couple weeks. Otherwise, fairways/rough was in good condition.
Great Course
We got a great fall rate of $33 riding for 18 holes. They weather was overcast and rainy which made the conditions a little tougher to play. I shot a 91 the first time I played this course and an 84 this time. It' not that difficult of a course to play but it's wide open and the site lines are beautiful.
Hole in one
My buddy had a hole-in-one on the 12th, so it certainly was memorable. We love this course. Greens were aerated, but still played very fair.
amazing gem
Wow! What a course, a gem not far from any south east city. One of a kind, beautifully set in nice location. Felt like a big boy here as far as having to set up my game. Look forward to making this my home course.
LINKS GOLF AT ITS FINEST!
This Gem was hidden from me. Living half hour away. Not anymore. Great course from hole one to ending with a difficult black tees par 3 18th. Because there's no trees dont think for a second this course is easy. We played the blacks anybody can play the wimpy whites. I used my 3 iron off off 7 tee boxes gave up yardage for bringing in play.shot a 45-40-85. From the tips. Good for me fairways in excellent condition, greens fast. Alot of fun. Be back to tame this LINKS again. Oh Yes!
Great Course
This course has the challenges for all caliber of player.
golf
outstanding fast play without waits. friendly helpful staff
Fall Golf Here We Go
Thank you GolfNow for the support! I recently played Washington County which is skewing my rating of this course. No comparison and about the same price. Get up there and give that one a shot - you will not be disappointed!
Tracey
picked one humid day
All August....beautiful cool weather. Not today - this humidity was brutal.
This course was very dried out. Not sure but looks like their sprinklers are out.
BRING ON THE BADGERS/PACKERS!
good time
great day/great time /great course for the dollar..
Great Course
We drove up from Chicago, for a bachelor party. This course was well worth it. Beautiful landscape with lots of elevation. Challenging and fun, worth every penny and we will return.
Great Layout - Fun Course!
This is probably my favorite course in SE Wisco. It rivals Morningstar at 1/2 the price. The teeboxes, fairways, and greens were perfect. Fun layout with beautiful scenes of green and brown (fairways and fescue). Water in play on 6 holes and fescue in play on every hole! White stakes on a number of holes as well so make sure to aim away from OB. Quite a bit of elevation change throughout. Clubhouse/bar is exceptional as well. Really a great golf club.
Gold at Broadlands
Very nice course to play and well worth the deal we got on Golf Now. I would recommend it to everyone to play.
Nice Conditions
Course was in good shape. Greens were a little slow and had multiple ball marks
Well Designed Course, Easy to Navigate
We really enjoy this course and the amenities. This time we were a little disappointed with the ranger who insisted our foursome speed up our play after having our start delayed past our start time, being followed by two sets of twosomes, and allowing them to play through. The ranger was rude and discourteous. This very much influenced our day negatively. Otherwise, the course was in pretty good condition, not including the geese and the goose damage and we will play here again.
tuff but fair
Love the layout of the course. Well maintained greens and fairways, but spray it a little bit and you'll have to deal with thick rough or fescue.
