Broadlands Golf Club
About
Broadlands Golf Club in North Prairie is one of the most popular public golf courses in the Milwaukee area and also one of southeastern Wisconsin's best values. With a wide-open, virtually treeless landscape, the course has a traditional links design. It offers plenty of challenges but it is also not overly difficult for high handicappers. Water comes into play on a few holes, mostly on the front nine. Emphasis is placed on proper club selection, especially for the finishing hole, a downhill par 3 with bunkers and native grasses framing the two-tiered green. It is an especially tough hole on a windy day. The golf course is versatile and accommodates a wide range of skill levels. Its playability has made it a popular host for amateur tournaments and outings. Broadlands Golf Club also has a driving range for golfers to use.

Great Links style course
Very enjoyable course. Well maintained. Got a good hot deal from GolfNow as well.
The Broadlands offers a variety of holes and a wide range of challenges.
This course can play quite differently depending on the tee boxes you choose. From the white tees, where we played, there were challenges on most holes, but all holes were playable provided you put the ball in play off the tee. It is a different beast from the tips. Golfers with double digit handicaps might find the course too frustrating from the rear tees. The forward tees take alot of the sting out of the course and allow for play from high handicappers of either gender.
The variety makes for a very excessible course for all talent levels.
Love this cours
Pace of place has always been good along with the condition of the course. Always seems a bit windy which adds to the challenging conditions.
Links style course near milwaukee
Stay out of the tall stuff, unless you have a lot of balls with you! Slicers beware!!
We have to play Broadlands, at the very least, once a year.
The course is always in great shape. Wide open fairways for the most part which helps if you do not always drive the ball straight. It is an excellent layout with a lot of elevation changes and very picturesque. Very attentive staff as well. The only drawback is having to finish on the par 3. I vote for swapping the 9's.
Very nice course
We caught bad weather but the course was very good and the staff was very accomodating with rain checks etc. They do offer very competitve rates at times.
Wide open fun course to play.
Fun to play and got to talk to Stormen Gormen Thomas, the retired Brewer baseball player.
This course has a great layout
Course in great shape. Quick greens
Pace of play could be faster.
Consistant quality and well maintained at a great value
I have played at the Broadlands a few times each year for the last 5 years. This golf course is a well oiled machinery. Each hole offers its own challenges. This links version course plays real tough with a stiff westwardly wind. Good luck gettting to the green in two on hole 13! Highly recommended!
This course is maintained very well
Broadlands is a little more expensive than the average public courses in the area. At the end of the day, it is worth the few extra bucks. Well maintained and a fairly difficult course.
We had reservations at a course that was washed out yet Broadlands was in tremendous shape.
I was overruled by our foursome and we made reservations at another course. We went there following an overnight storm to find that that course was unplayable. I got on Golf Now and found reservations available. We drove about 20 miles to find the course in excellent shape. I pointed out to my friends that they have storm drains on several holes, always in the best location. The only time I had a problem was when I put myself in a bad position. This is the best value in Southeast Wisconsin from the time you walk into the clubhouse through the 19th hole.
Thanks for a great day
Fun little Links Course
I am a player who cannot stand slow play. PEOPLE PLEASE PLAY READY GOLF!!!! anyway, been playing this course for years now, I cant believe how great the conditions were considering the spring we had. Great little course, even from tips.
Enjoyable Round of Golf
Course was fun to play and in good condition. Would definitely play again.
Beautiful vistas & great experience. First time player of course.
Thought the course was great & challenging although still very playable. Want to play later in the summer when the fairways have more of a change to recover from the winter.
Good course for all skill levels
The Broadlands is a links style course: You see what you get. The fairways are generous with large bunkers guarding the landing areas. Rough is generally cut to 2 inches surrounded by thick/tall fescue. You can hit out of the fescue and advance the ball with a solid hit. There is a good mix of holes, options for risk/reward. There are a couple reachable par 5s and a couple short par 4s so you can score with a well-placed drive and iron shot.
This is a public course and it sees a ton of play. Greens can vary from smooth and firm to damaged and bumpy. Although I would say that over the years the greens are average. Green side bunkers are fair.
Pace of play is always slow. 4.5 hours minimum on the weekend (with a cart). Staff is friendly.
There is opportunity for an additional set of tees at the Broadlands. Whites are just short of 6100 and blacks are closer to 6800+. A set of tees in the 6400-6500 would make a huge difference!
Good time
Got a good deal on golfnow and played with 2 friends for under $60 for the three of us and a cart. Course was good except the greens were a little slow and bumpy
Course is a little rough now that it's November but overall pretty well kept during the summer months. Not too difficult, pretty wide open on most.
Great for getting low scores for experienced golfers, pretty open on most holes, par 5 are reachable, par 3s are fairly simple, and few 4s are makable in a great drive.
outstanding deal at afternoon
no complaint for the course conditions at this season of year. highly recommended!
broadlands
should have thought about the frost we had to wait 30 minutes for a frost delay but still got to tee off by 830 course in great shape and very quick greens
Good course. Can be slow.
The course is laid out well with plenty of variety. The back tees offer some challenge to low handicappers but mostly, this is a fun, challenging course for mid handicappers.
The course is pretty well maintained even through the drought conditions.
Played here on weekends and it was deadly slow. Although last time out, was a weekend afternoon and we moved right along.
Good staff and nice clubhouse.
