A lot of fun
The reason I said play time was slow was a five some in front of us and they wouldn't allow to play through. Overall I like the course. The people were awesome there especially in the pro-shop. Has challenging and unusual holes but a fun place to play.
Cider Ridge GC
Very nice facility and course. Destination type course, great layout, memorable holes with many forced carries. Course damp with little to no fairway roll. Played the whites with a 230 drive and most holes I was at the 150 marker, quite a few holes from the blue tees was much longer, so don't let your ego get in your way. Great layout, great greens and a great time.
All of except absence of face masks inside the clubhouse.
We play Cider Ridge 3-4 times a year, we are part-time residents of the Oxford area. We enjoy playing Cider Ridge, and the course is usually in good condition, weather permitting, even now during the dormant season.
My biggest complaint is this,: we are in the midst of a pandemic, face masks are required EVERYWHERE if you are indoors, every state, period. We played Cider Ridge this afternoon, and previously last October while in town, both times none of their staff, or other golfers in the pro shop were masked! This is inexcusable, and sheer negligence from a business and health standpoint. We will absolutely not return when we are back in the area next month due to lack of protocol.
Great Cours5
This course was amazing! My first time playing I was to busy trying to take in all the natural surroundings in scenery. The back nine has some nice views. Greens and bunker were a great shape. I would recommend this course.
A beautiful course some holes are challenging
This is a great place the course is wonderful and the driving range is the best around.
Alright course
This is the 2nd time I've played this course in the last 3 years. This year it was cart path only on 10 of the 18 holes which is crazy for the way this course plays and the hills you have to walk. Most of the greens had bad spots in them where we had to move our ball to putt. It was in a lot better condition and more relaxed cart rules the last time we played here.
Greens
Not the Cider Ridge I'm used to playing. Love the course but don't know what has happened but the greens were in good shape. Don't mind paying for a nice course but don't feel like we got our money's worth. Guess I should have realized something was up when I was able to get the first time for the Saturday before Labor Day on the Thursday night before. When asked would I recommend to a friend not till they either offer better deals or get things fixed.
Excellent besides staff
Played for the first time at Cider Ridge. We were very impressed with the course conditions and layout. However, we were not thrilled with the customer service in the clubhouse. Both interactions with the staff member was unpleseant to say the least. Made us feel unwelcomed and unappreciated. Besides that we had a great day at Cider Ridge.
Nice interesting layout
First time, great track. Course condition was very nice.
Love the elevation changes on the back, but can get in trouble quickly. Knowing course ahead of time would be an advantage
Will play again
Fun and challenging course
Awesome time with my son. We love the course. It’s in fantastic condition especially the greens. Provides a challenging and fun layout. Only complaint is that they did not have a beverage cart going around or water coolers filled (I’m thinking it’s because of the Covid-19 stuff) we had a blast!
Cider Ridge
Cider is in great shape right now. If you and your buddies can snag one of their hot deals you won’t regret it. One of the prettiest and best courses in East Alabama.
Cider Ridge
Cider Ridge is very much a tale of 2 nines. The front nine is considerably easy and scorable. The front follows the famous Choccolocco Creek. It is very beautiful and not overly hard. The back 9 however, plays like a completely different course. It is much more target golf and is considerably more narrow. You have to hit it straight on the back. 16 is the hardest hole which allows ZERO room for error.
I’m by no means a great golfer and I play this course a lot. It is definitely a challenge, but it’s very enjoyable and the value is unbeatable, my favorite course no doubt in my area (East Central Alabama).
