Too many people
Informed they closed the front 9 down for a group and the rest had to play back 9 twice. Too congested after that.
Great layout: So-so course conditions
Always enjoy Iron Valley and I don't play it enough. I understand the top-dressing on some of the tees, but the fairways were barren--worse I've seen it. Greens were fine. Discount should have been applied.
Slow play due to a larger group from out of the area that didn't know the course nor how to play ready golf. 4 hour 45 minute round with cart on a Tuesday late morning tee time! Didn't see a marshal on the course!
Good Layout, Bad conditions
Fun & challenging course in a great setting. Fairways, greens & some tee boxes are in bad shape. Some fairways is hard to find any green grass. Greens were slow and bumpy. I have played this course a number of times and this is the worst Ive seen it.
Hi, we appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting Iron Valley Golf Club. We hope to see you again in the future.
Challenging
Front and back 9s are destincly different. Greens were great. Challenging for 1st time players. Would suggest playing it at least 2 times before making critique.
Good, not great shape
Fairways were burnt. Geese had taken their toll on the greens on some holes.. Love the course just I've seen it in better shape.
Great golf in uncertain conditions
I have been playing Iron Valley since 2016 and have not reviewed it until now. I probably should have done this years ago but the golf course has not changed and is still magnificently kept. There are some stunning views from the 1st green and 2nd tee of the Lebanon Valley and you can always tell someone's first visit as they are taking video and pictures from this area. It is an easy course to walk as I played it during the beginning of the Covid Crisis and figured it would be best to walk. The front 9 and back 9 are totally different and well worth walking the steep hills on some of the back 9 holes. They did an excellent job maintaining the golf course during the time it was closed in PA and have made great changes to their pro shop and food services to make everyone feel comfortable in interactions. I only gave it a 4 star for the course conditions because some of the greens had a few dead spots on them that looked like they were caused by mowers, but everything else was in great condition.
Great View and Value
First time playing the course, it was a great track.
Temporary tee boxes were out which is understandable for early March.
Course was in great shape.
Very fun layout with many elevation changes, made for extremely interesting shot selections.
Looking forward to playing it again!
Love this course
Iron valley is a beautiful course with a nice layout. Two completely different set of 9 holes both with plenty of challenges. Hit straight and it can be very rewarding. Left or right may find you in the bag for more balls.
Absolutely terrible shape, stay away, save your money.
This was the second time I played this course, first time was early this summer and the course was great. This time the place was in terrible shape, greens had just been punched and whoever did it should be fired. I have never seen a punch job done so poorly anywhere. There are wheel ruts and gouges throughout the greens along with the expected tine holes with sand. All the tee boxes are closed, every sand trap is washed out with a muddy bottom and the fairways are rather beat up, oh and the driving range is closed.
STAY HOME or PLAY SOMEWHERE ELSE till spring.

Perfect
Course was amazing. One of the best courses I have played. Greens were aerated when I played, but you could tell they would be great in season. Scenery is the best part of this course.
Staff is very friendly as well
air rated greens
well we paid 39 should have been 25,, like the starter said he could play during the week..why cause the greens really sucked ,, i have played on greens air rated before but this was really bad

A wonderful course. Challenges you to choose your shots, not just hit it as far as you can. Greens very consistent. Just wish there was a map of the holes. Some hole gsveblind shots and not sure where the green is!
Challenging course , most fun
I love this course , definitely on my top 20 in the Mid-Atlantic area.
The greens were in very good shape and the ball was rolling nice.
A wonderful test of a golfers ability all around.
The course was backed up big time today.. A lot of slow players on the course.
Hello, thank you for reviewing the course. We apologize for the delay of play during your round. Please know that this is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. With an uncharacteristically full day, we work hard to accommodate everyone who visits our course and allow our guest the chance to complete their rounds. With that in mind, we are working to best control pace and allow everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. We will continue to look for ways to improve. Thank you for playing Iron Valley Golf Club. We hope to see you again soon.
