Sanctuary lake
Poor management of pace of play. 7:10am tee time and still got mucked with hole hoppers bogging down pace of play. No rangers patrolling the course.
Very good for spring golf
The course is in really good shape for spring. Pace of play was slow but it was a Saturday around 1pm. The only down side was the greens which were much slower than usual at this course. It's a minor complaint but I think it's fair compared to most of the metro Detroit courses at this time of year. No matter what, it's still a course that anyone can enjoy which is why I play here fairly regularly.
Nice course... HORRIBLE Greens
I've played here a handful of times.. its a nice course and usually in good shape.
but...
The greens are horrible, worse than any course I've played (this includes low enders like hilltop and hartland glenn)
The greens are discolored, bumpy, amd have some sort of issues going on.
Fairways, tee boxes, carts... all good.

Needs care
The greens were very slow and very discolored and patchy making it very hard to read the greens and on top of it they were just too long and slow. Then there were a couple of holes that seemed the greens were cut a little better but still lots of dead patches and hard to read. Pace of play was awful got stuck behind two VERY slow groups and it seemed they had no rangers going around trying to check in and keep track of pace of play. I understand it is a public course but it is no fun for a golfer who would like to play at a decent pace it takes away from the enjoyment. Would not play this course again played in 2-3 times this season already no changes each time bad greens and very slow play.
Very friendly staff
Cart paths need repair and a better routes are needed to insure golfers safety ( ex: going to hole 4 passing 17) maybe more signage to indicate which direction to holes and a on-deck area so not to pull up on golfers that are on the tee box
Overpriced smelly mess
Well, it’s on a landfill and it sure smells like it. Its overpriced due to the way it smells, the amount of trash on the course, and the course layout is not the best. You would have to drive by other people teeing off/playing to get to multiple holes. We almost got hit by 3 golf balls from other people teeing off while we were on the 1st hole. The worst is the smell, I Won’t be playing here ever again mainly due to the smell.
