One of my favorites
First time playing here, and it is one of my favorite courses I’ve played. Tight fairways require true shots off the tees. But even if you hit a few left or right, you’re able to find your ball most of the time. Course conditions were excellent- if anything just a little wet playing early in the morning but it is expected. There were a few greens with extreme slopes and challenging pin placement, but speed was consistent each hole.
I played while they were mowing nearly every hole on the front 9 and it didn’t bother me. Playing as a single and didn’t get grouped with others thankfully. That was my main concern. A group of 2 women went ahead of me and I gave them about a hole or 2 space and I never saw them again nor did I have anyone come up behind me. Also I played early on a Monday. Pace might be different on the weekend or afternoons. Will definitely return when back in Akron!
Rain out
Having a wonderful day until the skys opened up and cancelled our game.
Overall a pretty good experience
Course is well maintained and it's a challenging course with a lot of different style of holes to test you on every aspect of your game. Pace of play was a little slow as on the front 9 we had caught the group ahead of us and two groups behind us were waiting to tee off on several holes throughout that 9, the back 9 went really well as the group Infront of us must have only been playing 9 so all together though a good experience for sure.
Decent Course
Decent course to play from time to time..not a tough course but small greens..Pace of play was terrible..5 hour round on a Friday morning was pretty bad
Fun, shorter type of course
Had a good time here, course was in good conditions and greens roll out very nice. Was surprised at how receptive the greens while also being really fast. Overall course was really fun. Although the course is fairly short, it does force you to hit different clubs off the tee because of hole layouts like dog legs and such.
Awful pace of play
I had heard horror stories about this course squeezing all they could in and backing the course up. It’s all true. Happened to us today on a Tuesday. 2 of us were 1st group of day out. They squeezed 2 foursomes (senior women) off #10 as we were coming off the 8th green. Had to play behind them the entire back 9 as they chose not to let us play through. To top it off , 2 of them went into one of the houses for potty break while the other 2 stood on the 14 tee box so we could not go in front. Total classlessness shown by these women. I guarantee I will not be back and will warn every golfer I speak with to stay away.
