Last minute choice
Needed place to play on off day and chose chenoweth based on location to my house. Pleasantly surprised. Greens were much better than I remember from past rounds there. They ran true, we’re faster than most public courses and we’re still receiving. Rest of course was in god shape. Prices for adult beverages were also very reasonable.
Quickly rivaling my favorite local course
Very nice course, best staff around who are actually paying attention to pace of play and great rates.
Difficult Pace of play but overall great
The pro shop told me I was paired with 2 others - which I was not looking forward to even though I know they can’t help it. I like playing by myself. When I got to the box the starter told me he sent the other 2 off the back 9 and that I could play solo but there was two 4somes of ladies in front of me playing 9 holes. They were dreadfully slow and each hole was a log jam and it was hard staying in rhythm but nonetheless it worked out. Back 9 was wide open for me and I was able to make up a lot of the time. The group behind me was nice and friendly during the conversations we had while waiting. Course is in great condition. Plays true.
One of my favorites
First time playing here, and it is one of my favorite courses I’ve played. Tight fairways require true shots off the tees. But even if you hit a few left or right, you’re able to find your ball most of the time. Course conditions were excellent- if anything just a little wet playing early in the morning but it is expected. There were a few greens with extreme slopes and challenging pin placement, but speed was consistent each hole.
I played while they were mowing nearly every hole on the front 9 and it didn’t bother me. Playing as a single and didn’t get grouped with others thankfully. That was my main concern. A group of 2 women went ahead of me and I gave them about a hole or 2 space and I never saw them again nor did I have anyone come up behind me. Also I played early on a Monday. Pace might be different on the weekend or afternoons. Will definitely return when back in Akron!
Rain out
Having a wonderful day until the skys opened up and cancelled our game.
Overall a pretty good experience
Course is well maintained and it's a challenging course with a lot of different style of holes to test you on every aspect of your game. Pace of play was a little slow as on the front 9 we had caught the group ahead of us and two groups behind us were waiting to tee off on several holes throughout that 9, the back 9 went really well as the group Infront of us must have only been playing 9 so all together though a good experience for sure.
