Ehhh lol
Not one of my first choices around the area. Course conditions are barely par and the layout has some really goofy holes. Multiple blind tee shots and weird angles keeps me guessing every time. Not saying it’s that bad, but there are a lot of other great options around the area. Try to convince friends to play elsewhere.
I shot 79 today, one below my age, since I just turned 80 yesterday. I actually have to say that every thing was just great today, this was from the the white tees.Enjoying every day at the golf courses, hope to meet you there.
Fall golf
Arrived to find that front nine was under aerification, but we could play the back twice. That was fine except that when we turned, we had to wait 20 minutes while new groups just started. Counter people were friendly and very courteous and very professional. Want to play again when course is intact.
Mark
Played here several times. They will often stick you someone if you don’t have a 4some. This was as slow as I Have ever seen it. 7 groups backed up on number 7. Ranger enforcement needed here.
Great Layout A Little Slow
The course is great and in great condition. A lot of tight holes and high rough make for some slow play.
However, it is well recommended, just plan for a long, patient round.
Soggy Fairways
I really like Chenoweth, especially when it is not busy. It's a great course although the number 6 green needs to be leveled a bit.
All of the recent rains have taken a toll on this course, especially the back nine. Very soggy and mushy fairways in some spots, to the point where you're penalized for hitting it into the fairway as opposed to the rough. There's not much the ground crew can do, though, when Mother Nature brings so much rain.
My only nit is that Chenowith likes to overbook tee times. It's not uncommon to see 2 foursomes stacked up on No 2 when driving in, and then 8-10 foursomes stacked up on No. 1 when you reach the parking lot. It took us over 5.5 hours to play 18.
Real gem, fun but challenging layout, ideal for advanced & beginners
Great value and fun layout. Staff is friendly and great. Although it's relatively short, it's no pushover. The greens, especially on the front side, will have you talking to yourself. It really requires precise 2nd shots if you want to score. Another unique feature is that it's one of those courses where a beginner and an advanced player can play together. My daughter (19 HDCP) really liked it too. You may not hit driver on every par 4 or 5, as you need to keep the ball in play off the tee. Course condition was excellent.
Slow, slow, slow.
We played behind a club that had 13 foursomes in front of us. We started 25 minutes behind and it took 5 1/2 hours to play 18. It certainly was not ideal. Two groups around us quit in the middle of their rounds. I never saw a ranger on the course. I’m sure every group behind us was equally as frustrated. I enjoyed the layout of the course. Though we haven’t had much rain there was a lot of wet spots on the course. The greens were in great shape which definitely helped.
Awful...they really suck...cust always wrong
Rude! Rude! Rude!
I played with my dad and 8 year old son. I inquired about a raincheck as my son usually only lasts the front nine. This has never been an issue at any of the other courses we play but they got a real case of the butt about it, The starter jumped in saying that they my or may not get paid by Golf Now and that they usually have to give free rounds to get Golf Now to do anything about payment. They said that i would have to take it up with GN. Good luck there. He also headed us off at the turn to assure we could get no raincheck. They all said GN would have to handle it and that they usually don't get there money. Look...i had a cancellation that I still paid for...no rain check. but the three of us just wanted to be able to come back and finish the 18 that we paid for. Anyways...i know I won't see a darn thing come of this but gee whiz i feel better about joining in with all of the people that think Chenoweth is loaded with a bunch of arrogant stuck up jack-holes! Thanks for the vent!
Nice
Extremely slow play. Other than that, a great place to golf
