Avon Fields Golf Course
About
Avon Fields Golf Course is one of the older golf courses in Cincinnati, where it sits on picturesque land that rolls along fairways lined with trees - and it's easily accessible to downtown. The golf course provides tests and good times for golfers at all levels, with elevated and diminutive greens for those who like to play short golf, as well as those who need more practice at it (for those who need more practice in general, the Jimmy Woods Learning Center is onsite).
Avon Fields Golf Course provides 18 holes of par-67 golf over 5,081 yards. Tee off on a par 4 that plays to 369 yards. The course is short compared with megacourses being built elsewhere nowadays: About a third of the holes come in at under 200 yards, even from the Blue tees, while only the fourth hole, the lone par-5 hole, stretches to over 400 yards from the Blue tees.
As the Avon Fields Golf Course is a municipal golf course, expect affordable green fees, and those who can swing a round of golf during the workweek can expect them to be even lower.

Reviews
this coarse was atough coarse greens were very good
A nice coarse but no food or coffee and didn't realize it was a par 63 with no par fives
Good value and convenient
Conveniently close to downtown Cincinnati. Nice pace of play. Was able to play 18 holes in 3.5 hours. Course was in good shape, and greens were pretty nice. Pretty course with some nice views. Good value for the price.
Don't judge this book by its cover.
Good "old school" layout. It's a short course, by today's standards, and you CANNOT miss the green. The penalty is severe. Greens were somewhat hard and slow-weird combination. I would play it again, now that I know more about the layout and positions to be in.
Solid value
I found a great deal to play 18 holes with a cart, so I decided to give it a shot. I figured it would be packed on Memorial Day, but there were hardly any groups out. My partner and I played 18 holes in under 3.5 hours (We were the only group on the back 9 when we made the turn.) The fairways are solid, but the rough isn't well maintained; this is to be expected on a course that sees as many groups as Avon. For the money, I couldn't beat it. Avon isn't the nicest course in the world, but it definitely provides great value.
Short course
This course was not in great condition and the facilities are a little run down. The course is also very short.
Love the greens
Love the course!!! Greens were excellent. Pace of play is usually fast. Their shortpar 4's seem easy, but they can be difficult if tee ball misses target. Ron Dumas runs a fine facility!!!
Nice course for beginners who wants a good score.
The golf pro was very friendly and helpful. Very convenient location for easy access. One of the better greens I've played on this year, and the fairways were fairly well kept. The down side, I realized, because of location, the course does not have any par 5s. Nevertheless, it was a very enjoyable course to play on.
Good value for money, friendly staff
Good opportunity to play and enjoy different shots. I especially enjoy the back par fours. Lack of par fives may be a problem for some advanced players
Do they let you bring coolers of sweet, sweet Natty Light?
