About
Avon Fields Golf Course is one of the older golf courses in Cincinnati, where it sits on picturesque land that rolls along fairways lined with trees - and it's easily accessible to downtown. The golf course provides tests and good times for golfers at all levels, with elevated and diminutive greens for those who like to play short golf, as well as those who need more practice at it (for those who need more practice in general, the Jimmy Woods Learning Center is onsite).
Avon Fields Golf Course provides 18 holes of par-67 golf over 5,081 yards. Tee off on a par 4 that plays to 369 yards. The course is short compared with megacourses being built elsewhere nowadays: About a third of the holes come in at under 200 yards, even from the Blue tees, while only the fourth hole, the lone par-5 hole, stretches to over 400 yards from the Blue tees.
As the Avon Fields Golf Course is a municipal golf course, expect affordable green fees, and those who can swing a round of golf during the workweek can expect them to be even lower.

Good pace on a tight course
Starter really keeps it moving here which I like. Course is pretty well maintained, just on the smaller side - no Par 5’s. Had a blast with the guys I got matched up with.

Challenging in multiple ways
The course overall is very short and compact and thats does cause a backup very fast...but the problem lies with the layout of the course itself. Between the many blind spots on the front 9 were you can easily hit someone and the very confusing layout of not really knowing where the next tee box is...it's a challenging course that's not too friendly for the first times golfers to the course or to the game itself.

Nice executive course
Check in is easy and quick. Staff are the best part of this course. Great course for getting some practice in or for beginners. Pace of play is the worst part of this course but most people will let you play though if they are holding up the pace of play. Will certainly come back

Nice executive course
Staff were the best part. Course was tight which wasn’t an issue for me. The next tee box was hard to find so they need to mark it better. I like the condition of the course but the cart paths are a bit of a rough ride. Overall a nice course to play so I will certainly play here again.

Slow pace of play
Slowest round of golf ever. They send a new group out every 6-8 minutes knowing that is not possible.
Last time I will be attending.

Surprisingly Improved conditions
I play here pretty regularly since it’s close to my house. I was pleasantly surprised with the course conditions given the little rain we have had. Worth the price.

Very nice to the Fury Community
Avon was very nice to me and my kittens. No judgment they even gave me a glass of milk before I teed off. I would highly recommend I loved playing here with me and my kittens.

Great value for a round
My wife and I always enjoy playing Avon Fields. The layout is nice, without long holes but with some challenges. The grounds are not top tier, but are being kept up on a public course budget pretty well. Some nice views of the area.
