Avon Fields Golf Course

Nice little course. The staff was amazing. Super friendly. The course was all par 3 or par 4. My only issue is the grass was so long. If you missed the fairway at all you lost your ball. I lost 7 balls. Other than that nice place

Booked to play 9 holes at 5:16pm and was told I wasn’t allowed to play since golf now booked between league play tee times and that it’s my fault and I have to call for a refund.

Did not have carts available, although a cart was purchased on GolfNow.

I couldn’t figure out how to get a rain check refund. It was a downpour and no one could get onto the course. I did send an email to the original email I received for proof.

Golf Now let me book a tee time, but when my group showed up for it, Avon Fields had a league playing instead, and they turned us away without any compensation.

We arrived on time at1 and were told they sent our paired group had been sent out early and we had to go find them. Ok, easy enough but our first time here and a wrong turn led us to hole 11. Long story short we never that twosome and returned to the clubhouse for a refund . They were super friendly and offered a refund but suggested we could just go as two on hole one. We decided to play, that's why we came. It was a wonderful old course with long par 4s as well as short par 3s. Would love to play here again. Please pay attention to the holes cart path path only. We learned the hard way. Our fault.

Course was not in this best condition and the staff was not friendly at all. Wont be coming back, probably one of the worst crc coures I have played. Not impressed, save your money.

We were able to play thru several foursomes. Played 18 in 3 hrs.

We had a 7pm tee time… the sprinklers were on when we arrived to the first tee box. We waited a moment and they didn’t turn them off. We had to play in the sprinklers for about 4 holes in a row. Not just off the tee. In the fairway; as well. We were MAYBE 5 minutes behind pace of play due to the fact that we had to wait on every shot for sprinklers to rotate away from our balls so we didn’t get soaked the entire round. Some one who claims they’re a manager came up to us and was a real a**hol* pretty much telling us it’s our fault we’re getting wet because we’re playing so slow when they were literally on from the start!! I heard him threaten to call the cops on 2 other groups on the course, not sure why but he did. I wanted to finish my round before talking back to him because I don’t want to be stranded on a golf course with the police coming to me for no reason. We literally got held up on the last 3 holes in a row so in all reality there was no reason to come say something to us about our pace. When we finished, I went to the clubhouse to ask to speak to a different manager than this gentleman who was out on the course just because I wanted to make them aware of his rude behavior. He claims he’s the only one there. I told him how he was rude and had no reason to talk down on us the way he did but he decided to double down and be rude again! I tried walking away from him, I left the club house and this “manager” followed me out to my car! His employee did as well! The employee was telling me never come back we didn’t want your business anyway. HE THEN STOOD AT MY CAR AND ARGUED WITH ME, LITERAL HARASSMENT!! I would absolutely avoid this place like the plague until they get different management. Play literally any other CRC course, I’ve never ever had an issue like this before at ANY golf course in Cincinnati. I would highly recommend any other course. It’s worth the extra drive time and money. The course is in horrible shape. Greens are patchy as can be. Fringe is just dead grass. Multiple dead patches through out the entirety of the courses fairways. Just an unfortunate lack of care is given to this place and I would say it no doubt starts at the top with management.

Allows tee times to be booked when they have league play and refuse to let people who paid money play

Course is decent, but short. No Par 5s, course and greens could stand some maintenance work done to get up to par (ha!) Luckily this time the staff was not yelling at patrons so that’s a plus. Pace of play not very good. This last time playing just may have been my last time. I’d rather not deal with the frustrations when coming out to golf. I’ll pay a little more and enjoy another course as opposed to playing this one again due to the factors listed.

Tried booking a tee time for 4:52 pm because Avon Fields showed multiple tee times from 4-5:30 available, when I get to the course they say I can’t get on until 6:30 because of leagues (which makes sense) but why are there 10-15 tee times posted for during the leagues you run. I told them I’ll just wait until 6:30 and play after the leagues are over, and they tell me they don’t run carts. Asked the gentleman in the pro shop why you even have tee times posted during your leagues if you can’t send anyone off at their booked time, and he told me “I don’t know, call GolfNow.” Isn’t that your job as a pro shop employee? Not a former customer who has played multiple rounds and has never had this issue before. Hopefully, they’re honest and it was just a mistake and not just another course struggling for tee times, so they resort to having tons and tons of tee times posted in attempt to gain more eyes, but I’m not sure. Pretty annoyed at this though.
