About
Avon Fields Golf Course is one of the older golf courses in Cincinnati, where it sits on picturesque land that rolls along fairways lined with trees - and it's easily accessible to downtown. The golf course provides tests and good times for golfers at all levels, with elevated and diminutive greens for those who like to play short golf, as well as those who need more practice at it (for those who need more practice in general, the Jimmy Woods Learning Center is onsite).
Avon Fields Golf Course provides 18 holes of par-67 golf over 5,081 yards. Tee off on a par 4 that plays to 369 yards. The course is short compared with megacourses being built elsewhere nowadays: About a third of the holes come in at under 200 yards, even from the Blue tees, while only the fourth hole, the lone par-5 hole, stretches to over 400 yards from the Blue tees.
As the Avon Fields Golf Course is a municipal golf course, expect affordable green fees, and those who can swing a round of golf during the workweek can expect them to be even lower.

Great value, nice layout
My wife and I enjoy playing this course. You won’t find fancy amenities, but the fairways and greens this week were in good shape, and the views are quite nice from many holes.
Interesting
Not a long course but intelligent in its design. Club selection is crucial and the well thought out holes are fun for all types of players.
Great shape
Avon was in such good shape I couldn't believe it. Teeboxes to fairways to greens, they were all terrific. Played quick and never felt rushed. Such a gem
Fun layout, great deal!
The amenities are not fancy, but the course is a fun one and a good value. Never disappointed!
Nice course
Nice course it has some challenging holes only down side is the cart path only holes
Short but challenging course
Avon Fields is in great condition. Fairways are cut close and the greans are smooth and consistent. Roughs can be a bit long but not impossible to deal with. Not a long course but the greens are small placing an emphasis on target play. We used a cart as that was part of the package but it is very walkable. Driving range is available as well.
Lack of par 5s
Course is in good shape despite the cicadas everywhere. Fun to play despite not having many long par 4s or any par 5s. Good bang for your bucks if you get a deal. Would not personally pay full price
