Solitude Links Golf Course & Banquet Center
About
Solitude Links Golf Course & Banquet Center in Kimball is one of southeastern Michigan’s premier courses. Golfers from the Detroit metropolitan area and Port Huron and even as far as London in Ontario, Canada flock to the golf course. The layout is spread across gently rolling terrain with both woodlands and wetlands, providing a diverse mix of holes. The greens are large and fast with some mild undulation, some are even ridged or double-tiered, but good shots will be rewarded with level putting surfaces. The tricky opening hole is unique in that there are two greens, which makes it so that it can be played as a par 4 or a more daunting par 5 that plays over water. The challenging island green makes Solitude Links' par-4 eighth another memorable hole. Though you may get a break from the water on the back nine, at least on four holes, sand then becomes a more prominent hazard.

Fore Lakes, Please come back!!!!!!!
Scheduled tee off time from golf now was 9:07. We got to the course and was told it was changed to 9:18. There was a tourny of 42 golfers ahead of us. Actual tee off time was closer to 10:00. Front 9 played in 3 hours. we waited and waited and waited on every hole. After 9 holes we wanted to grab a bite to eat. First of all, there were no burgers or dogs ready at the half way, then, the wait staff on the inside was very rude and we waited and waited and waited. Praise God for the weather and my company (father and 2 uncles). A great day to test patience and try and share some laughs with family. Call ahead to make sure you are not behind a tourny. The course needs to plan much much better.
Love this golf course
Has a bite of a challenge on some of the holes but very enjoyable thank you Love the little 10th hole challenge also
Hit em straight
Course layout is awesome! Everything is up to date, would help to have gps app on your phone to range some shorter holes though. And besides the hard bunkers everything is in great condition!
Solitude Links
Staff was friendly and helpful. Starter was well informed. His advice for playing holes #1 and #10 was very helpful. A lot of water. Be brave and fly those massive ponds! Some of the finest greens I have played on. Ran true and consistent. Couldn't ask for a better afternoon. Beautiful course, well-maintained. Played for only 18 bucks! thanks to Golf Now. It's a really long drive for me, but it was totally worth it. This is not a course for beginners. I recommend it for all semi-competent and semi-confident golfers. It will humble you, but it is a great place to play.
Super spring golf
Course was in pretty good shape for early spring golf, kitchen was not open yet, so somewhat disappointed we couldn't get a snack (other than a hot dog) after golf. Good selection of beer on tap
scenic course
course had plenty of water but not that hard to stay away from. greens in very good shape. carts have range finders for yardage. very good experience.
Nice course
Good overall, greens and fairways very good condition, very challenging over the water.
Loved it
A beautiful course for the average golfer. Not too many long holes, but still challenging with all the water and tight holes. I look forward to coming back and playing it again
Lots of water and sand on course
We enjoyed the course, very interesting holes. Fairways and greens in great shape. Will be going back to play it again.
Excellent Value!
Course was in fantastic shape, weather was stinkin hot! Pace of play was very slow, seemed to have too many groups trying to tee off at the same time. But after a few holes it seemed to spread out ok. I would definitely play here again, love this course! Thanks.
Great course with touchscreen GPS in carts
Got a great deal on GN for $22.50 each for a foursome. Course was kept up very well and will go back to play again. My only complaint was that they put some groups off on the back nine which really slowed play once we made the turn. We were the second group out and once we made the turn, there were two groups in front of us but behind the first group.
nice play
First time playing since name/owner change. Heather was nice addition didn't come in play much but added to look of course. greens very nice to putt. great time
Excellent service and facility
Staff was friendly and courteous. Course was in amazing shape. Bunkers could use some work. Overall very satisfied
New owners for Fore Lakes
The course is basically the same with a few upgrades. The biggest change is letting the heather grow in the common areas for more of a links feel, seemed fine. The greens were in good shape with reasonable speed. The carts came with a free bottle of water which seemed like a nice touch. The staff was generally friendly and helpful. The pace was a bit slow but the do allow more time between groups than Fore Lakes did. Overall I would say the course has improved as a result of the new ownership.
Solitude lakes mid summer round
No comaints. Good conditions, good staff good price. Will definitely return
Excellent course
It's very nice course, well maintained and excellent service. It's also very good value for the money. Definitely, I'll come back again!
Great Sunday Play
Course is well maintained. Plays longer than it looks most of the time, just keep your ball in the fairways and everything is good. Sand pits are the courses worst maintained aspect, they are very rock hard and very tough to play out of. Lots of little stones in them so I never shoot out them. All in all this was my 5th time playing here this summer and I plan to go back.
Wonderful Course!
I had a a great day! Dont be shy to play long and definentally play long and conservative if possible.. when windy1
