Solitude Links Golf Course & Banquet Center
About
Solitude Links Golf Course & Banquet Center in Kimball is one of southeastern Michigan’s premier courses. Golfers from the Detroit metropolitan area and Port Huron and even as far as London in Ontario, Canada flock to the golf course. The layout is spread across gently rolling terrain with both woodlands and wetlands, providing a diverse mix of holes. The greens are large and fast with some mild undulation, some are even ridged or double-tiered, but good shots will be rewarded with level putting surfaces. The tricky opening hole is unique in that there are two greens, which makes it so that it can be played as a par 4 or a more daunting par 5 that plays over water. The challenging island green makes Solitude Links' par-4 eighth another memorable hole. Though you may get a break from the water on the back nine, at least on four holes, sand then becomes a more prominent hazard.

Web Price and Actual Paid Price Differ (Multiple Times)
This course is charging more than what you reserve the tee time for online. Always the same guy in the clubhouse stating that the rate is more than what your reservation says. He knows that if you drove all that way, paying 5 or 10 dollars more than what you thought it not going to turn most people away. So he knows that raising the price at the counter is just putting money into their pocket.
Other than he terrible behavior, I have no issues about this course at all.
If you can actually PAY online and not have to pay at the pro shop, that would be the only way I would come close to taking a chance to go there.
Too bad, its a nice course, just the pro shop dude needs to go.
Excellent Track Diamond in the Ruff
This track is well maintained from the t box to the greens.
The staff is very friendly and great food!
I'll be back next time I'm in Michigan!

This place is awesome
The title says it all. I played this course on Monday 8/1. It was the first time I’ve played here and it was well worth the 45 minute drive it took to get there. The course is in excellent shape. The greens were immaculate and the tee boxes were excellent. The fairways were well defined and in awesome condition. My one and only complaint was there was no beverage cart. If you like your golf courses well maintained with nice scenery and lots of water then this is the course for you. They have 5 sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels. I will play this course again!
So nice ....and somewhat naughty.
Forced carry on the first hole, so be ready to play! Overall conditions are wonderful. Greens and tees are in excellent shape and constantly maintained. Once you play here you will want to come back.
Awesome course
Played later in the day - started at 4pm on Sunday and not sure we could of had a better round.
No one on the course and it was up kept beautifully.
Only one complaint - when we made the turn around 6pm the kitchen was closed and no bartender to restock up the drinks.
Other then that - just an awesome place to play golf
Kfiott13, thank you so much for your kind review. FYI, our pro shop staff is able to get drinks once the restaurant is closed. Glad you had a great time and the course is in the best shape ever.
jhuyghe90, we would love to understand the low ratings for course condition and value. The course is in the best shape ever and there isn't another course in this good of shape for the price. Can you please reach out and explain as we would like to know what we need to do to improve. See other reviewers comments on condition and value.
Gorgeous. Worth every penny
Play here. I promise you won’t regret it. The challenge is fun, the course is beautiful. Cannot beat it for the price.
Very Good for the money
Great views , good conditions , great pace of play , nice little hidden gem , I’ll tell ya , when ever I find a place like this I always think the same thing! ( man I’m paying top dollar other places that aren’t even this nice) !!!!
Aaron, thank you so much for your review. The course is in excellent shape. Sorry about the bev cart, it starts around 3pm for the leagues. We were just awarded the #1 Golf Course in Blue Water Area and we will know this week if we are #1 in Metro Detroit. Fingers crossed. Thanks again
