Coyote Golf Club
About
At 7,201 yards, Coyote Golf Club in New Hudson has a layout that will appeal to long hitters. The course requires more than just the ability to hit long drives, though, with abundant water features and numerous strategically placed bunkers. Accuracy and creative shot-making are necessary to successfully maneuver the variety of hazards. Coyote's back nine is more open than the densely forested front nine, but it plays longer. The hole finishes with a memorable par 5. This hole presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity with marshland that runs diagonally towards the triple-tiered green, which is also sloped from back to front. The level of quality displayed by the challenging design is also apparent in the immaculate conditions. It has a longstanding reputation for being one of southeastern Michigan's best-conditioned golf courses.

Nice course!!!
Links. Not easy but not too difficult as well. Long yardage play available.
Great Course If You Can Get It Under $50
Great course - i think they charge too much as standard rates
Maintained nicely - some roughs are a little unfair as they let them grow a good two feet deep when it is clearly ment to be rough not heather
Tough course, maybe its me or the weather.
It was in good shape, the greens were just done and bumpy.but overall good shape for oct.15th.My buddy had a tough time near the traps edges, they were long and narley.Had a lot of leaves off the fairways, but good overall.
great fall golf
You cannot go wrong with this course. Fairways or not, the course is in great shape.
Average at best
Played on a Saturday and course was so backed up we walked off on the 14th hole. The course itself was ok, but definitely not worth $60. Even at a discounted rate I got on this website, I could find a ton of other courses I'd rather play.
Great course
I played 18 at this course for $17 and was probably the best value i've had all year. course was near mint condition, greens rolled smooth, some tough holes some easier, great scenery. played at 1 pm on a tuesday and were almost the only group on the course. absolutely NO complaints at all, i will be playing there again before the season ends.
Good course for beginners
good course to play on weekday with some of your beginner golfers, greens were good and clean some what fast, staff were good and friendly
Long and Open
I would be incredibly disappointed if I would have spent more than $20 on this course. Nothing overly exciting about the scenery, greens were not great and overall condition could be better.
Above Average Course
The Course was in good shape overall. Didn't like a few quirks for example fairways sloping into OB. Or a par 5 that requires an Iron off the tee or you risk going into a lateral hazard. Also a handful of greens had that green colored divot fill stuff.
But most of the course is extremely well maintained. If you are in the fairways you can make pars. The greens are challenging in that almost every putt requires you to read break...very few flat-strait putts. Definitely worth playing, not sure if its worth $50+.
NICE LAYOUT!!!
OVERALL COYOTE HAS A NICE LAYOUT. YOU WILL BE CHALLENGED WITH SOME TIGHT HOLES SO ACCURACY IS IMPORTANT. A FEW HOLES STILL HAVE A BUMPY GREENS TEXTURE FROM AERATION BUT MOST ARE DECENT AND THE SPEEDS ARE MODERATE-ABOUT 8-9 ON STIMP. SO, IN GENERAL I RECOMMEND THE COURSE. GET OUT AND GOLF!!!!!
Solid course
Coyote is one of the courses I play before work once or twice a month, no houses around, good challenging layout, fair greens, nothing bad to say about this course
On hole 18 i take my time looking for balls and always end up with 30/40 balls.
Good course!
Imminently FAIR course
Ever have a round where you were hitting the ball great but then added up your score and you were 5-10 strokes higher than usual? Or have the opposite happen where you hit the ball horrible but end up shooting 4 strokes lower than usual? That will not happen at Coyote. You are punished for wayward tee shots and rewarded for keeping the ball in play. Miss a fairway by 20 yards left or right, and expect a big number. Land in the fairways and you always have a fair shot at par. Playing from the blue tees, all four par 5's are smarter to play as 3-shot holes. Going for the green in 2 serves no purpose on those holes and I've seen way more birdies from short 3rd shots than eagles for people that actually reach the green. The greens have very generous landing areas - except for number 15 (par 5) that is clearly not designed to come in with anything longer than a 9 iron. The par 3's are all reachable but challenging with HUGE greens on all four of them. If you can get through the front 9 without losing too many balls, the back 9 offers a little more room to spray but the greens are bigger and tougher on the back. Greens are in great shape right now but not quite as fast as I've seen in the past here. I am normally a low 80s golfer and my last round here was a 79 - which included two penalty strokes. I kept the ball in play off the tee and had 12 GIR. Saturday twilight is usually very empty: easy to get in 18 holes starting as late as 5 pm. Early Sunday morning is the BEST time to play! The first tee doesn't start to draw a crowd until around 8:30 on Sunday mornings. You can tee off around 7 am and finish your round before the rest of the family gets home from church!
This course is suitable for golfer who has handicap 20 to 25.
This course is relatively easy course to play. Also, this course has beautiful view.
Challenging course in good condition.
Coyote is definitely one of the nicest public courses on the west side of Detroit. It has a nice mix of wide open and wooded holes. Pace of play was slow, although I did play on the 4th of July. It is of above average difficulty as far as public courses go, and is no place to learn the game. Greens are typically large, lending itself to some long putts, although they are in excellent condition.
First times a treet
Great course,What a surprise for the first time there.I will return again and again my only complaint was the 18th hole layout,Blind first shot of only 220 yds to a landing area seperating view of the green by cattails you could not drive across.after passing the catails the rest of the hole was georgous.
Good course layout and condition. Greens a little slow
Good variety of holes and quite challenging from the tips but a few holes are actually too diffuicult
Nice course, worth playing
Having played this course many time before, this couse was in the best condition I've seen it in with the exception of 2 greens that were aerated. Greens rolled fast and true and the fairways were in great shape. Top it all off....we got a great deal on Golfnow
Bringing back memories
First time I played this course again since I've had my last high school golf meet.
Nice top quality golf course
Coyote is one of the nicer maintained layouts in the area. Course is not too difficult, wide open on back 9, but challenging for all levels. Staff was very friendly. Open early, accommodating to fast players
Challenging layout, better than average condition.
Coyote is a challenging, but fair course. Only the 4th hole has any "gimicky" feature to it. There are a couple of fairways that are interrupted by 50 yards swaths of rough, which are an unnecessary surprise and maybe a bit unfair if you get out of position off the the tee. My wife would have liked a set of tees longer than the 4900 yard reds, but shorter than the 6300 yard whites. On a couple of holes she ran out of fairway and went into the aforementioned rough areas that on most courses would have been the continuation of the fairway.
