Coyote Golf Club
About
At 7,201 yards, Coyote Golf Club in New Hudson has a layout that will appeal to long hitters. The course requires more than just the ability to hit long drives, though, with abundant water features and numerous strategically placed bunkers. Accuracy and creative shot-making are necessary to successfully maneuver the variety of hazards. Coyote's back nine is more open than the densely forested front nine, but it plays longer. The hole finishes with a memorable par 5. This hole presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity with marshland that runs diagonally towards the triple-tiered green, which is also sloped from back to front. The level of quality displayed by the challenging design is also apparent in the immaculate conditions. It has a longstanding reputation for being one of southeastern Michigan's best-conditioned golf courses.

More of a shot makers course off the tee.
Very enjoyable course as you must think about your shots off the tee with so many dog legs and lay up to consider. Greens are fairly large and even though you might land one you may have a long putt. The day we played there was no ranger on the course and play was fairly slow.
Apart of the Milford/South Lyon Hot Bed
First time playing Coyote and it lived up to my expectations. A very well maintained course that doesn't punish you too bad for misses. It's not easy, but if you get off the tee it is a very gettable course. Having played many other great courses in the South Lyon/Milford area (Lyon Oaks, Moose Ridge, Mystic Creek, Tanglewood) Coyote joins the pack and holds it's own.
Great layout, well maintained
This is by far the longest course in the area, almost 7300 from the tips. The two nines play completely differently, the back is links style, wide open with well placed hazards and some difficult doglegs. 18 was tough with two large water hazards, 2nd shot was blind due to the height of the reeds. The front nine is tighter with more undulations. Make sure you bring bug spray there were a ton of Mosquitos. That's probably the only negative of the day.
Senior Rates start at age 50
Have played course in golf outings, never on my own. Took advantage of senior rates. Great conditions. Need to watch out...course has fairways that are broken up. Striped a drive, only to find out that I was in the rough between sections. Also there are not open run-ups to the greens. Each green is surrounded by rough.
very nice course
the fairways and green are in good shape. challenging course
1st time at coyote
loved the course next season will try to become a regular...
very few distinctive holes
very few distinctive holes too open very windy unpleasant ROUND
Uninspiring Track
I would not pay full retail for this course. It is pretty easy and the rough needs some work. Hit your ball anywhere but the fairway good luck finding it. Greens are a joke in bad shape and not challenging. Save your money and play elsewhere. I will not be back.
Not to shaby
Nice course for the value. I will be back. Would like to see some ranges on the course though. Pace was ok for cart path only but I think we were the only ones obeying that rule. Mud tracks everywhere.
Rangers Not Female Friendly
A very beautiful and inviting course. A few tough holes where playing technical and ball placement is essential.
However, the course rangers are definitely not women golfer friendly. My girlfriend and I, who were part of a foursome, were aproached and chided for holding up play. He exhibited poor tact in directly addressing this to her and very much upsetting her. A small outing behind us specifically singled her out as the cause for the slow play. Not the fact that the group ahead of us was in fact the hold up.
I mentioned this to the ranger, and also the two other gentleman of our foursome, and instead of investigating the group ahead still insisted it was her.
After 15 minutes the ranger did return to apologize to her. That he in fact was wrong and it was the group ahead of us. Regardless of his apology our outing was ruined.
truly a gem!
well maintained fairways, meticulously groomed greens. Rather undulating, but fairly easy to figure out. This was a rather difficult course for us, and we are seniors and don't hit it very far. The fairways are targets you aim for, and many times we didn't quite get our shots to them. However, the next time we play we will know better ho to manage the course. We still won't hit them far enough to make the fairways off the tee, but will know where to place the ball and where not to go. We enjoyed the course other than losing a whole bunch of balls, but then we found quite a few anyway. I guess there are many other golfers who hit as poor as we do!
coyote course review - gem in the rough
Course condition excellent. Golf carts very nice as well. Staff courteous and professional.
Great value
Very nice course. Gr eat condition. Everyone was very friendly, but I took one star off because we wanted to play another 9, but we're told there are leagues going off both 9s...we sat on the patio for more than an hour sipping cold beverages and never saw anyone go off 10. Over all very satisfied with Coyote. Will play here again for sure.
Good Public Course
Greens, fairways and tee boxes are well maintained the grounds and grill room are nicely maintained. This is an excellent choice for a public course.
good course good value
great value wide fairways only 2 tricked up holes one of my new favorites
Coyote
Coyote is a good test for all skill levels. The greens were slow and needed to be cut but I'm sure the decision to leave them is to combat the damage that occurred over the winter. Thankfully they seem close as only a few greens had visible damage.
Nice Round
Good conditions - enjoyable round of golf - "go play"
18 Holes in 3 hours
Was very happy with the GolfNow deal and finally getting out on this course I've driven past so often. From the road it looks like a links course, but it does get quite woodsy when you are toward the back of the property. Started at 6:30pm and was able to get in all 18 before it was too dark at 9:35. Staff was very friendly, even as we were the only ones left to leave at the end of the night.
Very nice course
Will play again, very interesting lay out, collars
of rough protecting the green
