Coyote Golf Club
About
At 7,201 yards, Coyote Golf Club in New Hudson has a layout that will appeal to long hitters. The course requires more than just the ability to hit long drives, though, with abundant water features and numerous strategically placed bunkers. Accuracy and creative shot-making are necessary to successfully maneuver the variety of hazards. Coyote's back nine is more open than the densely forested front nine, but it plays longer. The hole finishes with a memorable par 5. This hole presents an interesting risk-reward opportunity with marshland that runs diagonally towards the triple-tiered green, which is also sloped from back to front. The level of quality displayed by the challenging design is also apparent in the immaculate conditions. It has a longstanding reputation for being one of southeastern Michigan's best-conditioned golf courses.

Nice Course For The Money
This is a challenging course with a nice layout. I play here regularly. The pace of play is usually good at 4-4.5 hours. The staff is friendly and there is usually a beverage cart on the course. Prices are more than reasonable for everything.
I like it
Course was in great shape. Moderately fast greens. Fun.
Great course, great value
Coyote is one of my favorite courses in South east Detroit. Every time I have played here it has been in pristine condition. I do think the course is pretty challenging though. There are quite a few hazards and if you've never played here before and don't know what to expect on certain holes you will be losing balls. #18 especially. Not too many blind shots and the pace of play was great we weren't slowed down one time. Overall I rated this course a five because the staff was very friendly, the course was in great condition and it was inexpensive.
Course has open and tight holes both. 1 gadget hole (5) I don't like
Nice practice range. Fairways in good condition as well as the greens. Greens were healthy and firm and rolled true.
Great value for any price under 40 bucks. I played for 19.00
Challenging, yet fair.
Nice course with some challenging shots. Overall very fair play though, well laid out, and the distances vary nicely according to the tee box played. It seemed like our group was waiting for the groups ahead of us quite often though. I played early in the year (April 4), and do have some concerns that the time of play may stretch to the 5 hour mark in the busy season.
Enjoyable course to play
I played Coyote one time and have wanted to go back ever since. The course is very well maintained. My favorite hole is #18 with the GIANT water hazard guarding the entire front of the multi tiered green.
One of the best, weekly play courses in SE MI
Not too many nicer, public courses in MI and I've played most of them. Thew few that are nicer or more scenic, are twice the price (or more). No houses come into play and rangers do a great job of keeping the pace up.
weather was a big factor
It wasnt the best day to play because of the high wind conditions and leaves but we had a good time
Fairway condition is good
Fairway condition is good
Good access from freeway
#18 hole is one of the best challenging hole.
The fairway condition is good.
Course access is easy from freeway.
Nice Course, challenging layout
It was our first time playing the course and it was well maintained outside the greens which is why i rated it needs attention. I understand the need in the fall to prep the grass for winter but the greens were so aerated that it was like playing plinko with the ball. It would have helped if they greens were aerated then flattened to take out all the little bumps in the green.
Good value and will go back again to play!
Course will play tough in the wind
The greens had been airetted. The greens had too much sand on them and made it difficult to play. The fairways were in good condition. Beware, when the wind picks up, this course is very tough.
Best course in area
This course was a challenge but it was fair. If your tee shots find the fairways your second shots are manageable. If you drive the ball 250+ the men's tees or the championship tees are a good challenge. To play the tips your driver carry should be at least 260 to carry some forced carries. The par 3's are very challenging check the scorecard so you can play the yardages that suite your swing. Don't be afraid to layup on some par fives it will help your score. Oh and make sure to buy a yardage book for $2 it will help you out a lot. This is by far one of the best courses I've played. The greens, fairways and tee boxes were superb. I give it 4 1/2 stars.
Few tough holes
Well maintained, friendly staff, some tuff holes for first time play.
Always in good condition, nice Greens
The course is always in good condtion and the fairways and greens are well watered. Bunkers and water are your main hazards as Trees are spread out. If you get a good rate, hint: golfnow.com, it is worth it and the they have a good staff that has a good replay rate.If its windy it can really play tough due to lack of treas and hills, houses, etc. You dont nead your driver all the time, a three wood does just fibe unless you are playing from the back tess. Nice Cart Girls as well, tip em well and they will return. The greens are alittle slower thab some, but they are consistent. The greens break but your ball doesnt roll away to yhe other side.
one of my favorites
I play a lot and I play a lot of courses. This is one of my favorites. The staff is great, it's always in good shape and it's always a challenge.
A tight course but the greens could be faster
I found this course to be fairly challenging with many tight holes where u have to play smart. The greens were on the slow side, but my biggest complaint is they are not part of the GAM so I could not post a score for my handicap.
