Shale Creek Golf Club

Course was beautiful, and in great shape. It was worth both the money and drive (it is 45 minutes from my house). I am sure i will be back at least 1 or 2 times a year from now on.

This country links style course is has everything you want in a golf course. Elevation changes, great fairway and green contouring, and a long wide bunkers. The design is second to none, at no point does it feel overly contrived and constructed, like all of Brian Huntley's courses. GPS in carts, free range balls and free water, and the exceptional up keep of the course add to overall experience.

This course will make you really think but won't beat you up too bad. Every hole is interesting to a point where you just want to stand and look. Accuracy is a must. Don't worry too much about distance. I loved playing this place. It's like no other around. Great shape. Very relaxing atmosphere.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the staff and treated with the greatest respect. They were happy to serve us in every way from their awesome food to their beautiful facilities. The course was in excellent condition...except for the greens which seemed to have a lot of ballparks (obviously the golfers' fault for not fixing them than the course's fault). This is one course we definitely recommend to anyone at any skill level. We will definitely play here again and hope you will too! It really is a must play!

Once we played through a fivesome AND a very very slow twosome, the pace of play was good. Greens fast rolled true

The course was great, staff was friendly, food was delicious, but I was most impressed with how advanced the gps unit attached to the cart was. It gave flyovers of each hole, distances to everything imaginable on each hole, you can report any problems you have from the golf cart, and even email the scorecard to yourself or a friend. I will definitely play this course more often when I get out of retail and make more than minimum wage.

This course is a Gem. Love the free balls at the driving range to prep your shot. excellent course. Greens roll true, which made my short game tough, but true. fairways are prestine. No complaints at all. need better signage on hole 5 to 6 so that you don't play the wrong hole order, but that is the only issue. PLAY this course if you live in Northeast OHIO.

Be sure to keep you cart on the path for par 3's and away from OB or cart will shut off.

This was extremely worth the early rate. Didn't see anyone out till the 8th. I set my own pace playing as a single till the turn. The greens were perfectly fast. The only obstacle was my own play.

I played on a weekday with a GolfNow tee time. The course was busy but not crowded, and I got paired up with a couple guys. My original plan was to walk but was quickly advised not to due to some 1/4 mile distance from green to tee on a few holes.
Course was in great shape, the greens were fast but consistent. The clubhouse was new since my last visit and looked very nice. Carts are GPS equipped.

From the free range balls and gps in the carts, Shale Creek delivers the total golf experience. Its the best totally golf experience in the area. And the golf course is a fantastic, challenging, beautiful, and always in great shape. Almost impossible to have a bad experience.

Its worth the extra ten dollars to play here compared to other courses in the greater Cleveland area.

Played on the hottest day this summer. Fairways and greens were well watered.

I love this course. It makes you feel good after the round. We really enjoy playing this course since it is very comfortable to play.

Course in great shape, but pace of play was irritating

Great golf course, friendly staff, very professional and helpful staff. The bunkers have beautiful sand, gps on carts.
I will certainly be playing shale creek in the next few months.

The sand traps need work, but the course is very nice from the back tips. The pace was slow for me. Watch for the small creek that line some of the fairway and if its your first time playing the course drive up and look at the green to have an ideal where to try to hit the green from approach shots.

Overall, the course was in very good shape. The greens rolled consistently and the fairways were in exceptional shape.

Great course. Very well maintained. Staff was very friendly. Play moved along at a good pace.
