Stoneybrook Golf Club
About
Stonybrook Golf Club boasts seven sets of tees, making it a truly versatile course that any skill level can play. It has been certified by the National Golf Course Owners Association as being beginner friendly. The layout features wide fairways with generous landing areas leading to large, undulating greens that are bordered by intimidating bunkers and contoured mounding. The golf course is one of the longest in southwest Florida at 7,453 yards from the back tees, making it a long hitter's paradise. The difficult-to-read greens will challenge even the best players. The course wanders through a scenic landscape of pristine wildlife preserves. The sparkling lakes that are scattered throughout come into play, as do the abundant pines, oaks, and cypress trees.

Good value
The course was in really good shape. Challenging back 9. Staff very friendly. Will definitely play again.
Stoneybrook Estero golfing beautiful
Great golfing. Excellent conditions, very good value for the green fee. Staff super nice.
Course layout is exciting and challenging.
Over priced!!
$95 in the middle of the summer is ridiculous!! This course is never in good shape. Price gouging
Always enjoy playing at Stoneybrook. Greens were still recovering from aeration but other than that the course is in great shape.
Course Condition
Aeration alert on Golf Now. There were more issues. Tee boxes under construction. Greens were not rolled. No cups and lids. This is a course that doesn't take care of of it's guests. It's 100 plus degrees, and the course doesn't offer cups. Who does this. Never saw the ranger the entire 18 holes. There are many other courses to play that offer what we all expect.
Did not meet expectations
I would have rated this facility much higher because the intention to provide a good golf experience was visible the fact of the matter is the staff fell well short of my expectations. Here is why:
Greeting by the cart guys :
was above average
Starter was excellent
Very kind even showed us how to hook up the right home to the blue tooth speakers provided by the club.
Happy genuine nice guy.
Front nine
Pace of play was ok we were a two-some with handicaps that were better than average so, consequently our pace of play was faster.
No ranger present on the course
Back nine
Pace of play was horrible
Very slow
No ranger present.
The ranger we encountered
Was a typical New York negative attitude very condescending to me and my nephew. We made a choice to go inside at the turn at ten because a group 4 and 2 had jumped I front us when we tried to play 10 at that point we determined that it must be ok to go inside
There is no written policy on the carts at the staging area or in “Duffy”s “
The inly information we were given is when we came and were rudely accosted by the Ranger for not continuing play between holes 9 and 10. It’s fine to have a policy in my opinion, however, the staff and management of the golf club needs to enforce it evenly and when we were cut in front of no one was there to say hey you guys gotta move to the back of the line. Additionally, there needs to be a written policy either in the cart or at the restaurant or a sign between nine and 10 that states that if you choose to go inside, you lose your place in line and there wasn’t either one of those things nor was there a sign on the cart as the cart have G in them, they should’ve said food and beverage service is not available again. There was no sign in the cart on number nine so it was very poorly managed is my point and I’m very disappointed by the whole experience.
It had an effect on my ability to continue play between 10 and 18 and I feel it was very poorly handled by the staff when I got back to the clubhouse, and I spoke to the guys who handled the bags and carts, I asked specific questions about who runs the club and what the policy was and they were much nicer about it, but they did state that there is in fact policy and I said well there needs to be a sign on the cart or there needs to be something stated so people understand it. It’s not OK to go to clubhouse for food between holes nine and 10.
New Pay Ahead Policy
They now make you pay when you make a tee time. That means I would have to put 4 greens fees on my cc and then figure out how the other 3 will pay me. That’s not gonna work especially when I can’t have a cup for water.
tom got paired
I got stuck with the slowest golfer on the planet. He was never ready to play and even when I gave him a put, he would continue to slow us down. People behind us played around us by skipping a hole. The whole group of old men would not move up, so every par 4 hole was a poor drive and a worst 3 wood. a 5-hour round that was pure agony.
Someone must make these guys play from the proper tees and pick the ball up on punched greens after the 3rd put.
A course ranger is badly needed
Next time I am walking off this beautiful course as there is not course etiquette required.
I like the course but the greens were airated which I didn’t care for. Wish I new ahead of time.
