Stoneybrook Golf Club
About
Stonybrook Golf Club boasts seven sets of tees, making it a truly versatile course that any skill level can play. It has been certified by the National Golf Course Owners Association as being beginner friendly. The layout features wide fairways with generous landing areas leading to large, undulating greens that are bordered by intimidating bunkers and contoured mounding. The golf course is one of the longest in southwest Florida at 7,453 yards from the back tees, making it a long hitter's paradise. The difficult-to-read greens will challenge even the best players. The course wanders through a scenic landscape of pristine wildlife preserves. The sparkling lakes that are scattered throughout come into play, as do the abundant pines, oaks, and cypress trees.

Challenging and Fun
First time playing this course today and had a blast! From check-in this entire experience was amazing. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Can't say enough great things about everyone. The course conditions are beautiful. The carts seem new have GPS. Every hole was challenging and fun. The price was very reasonable. One of my favorite courses in the area. Can't wait to play again. Thank you.
Aeration - beware
I did not realize the course was recently aerated when I booked the course, or I would have played elsewhere. The price was reduced so I should have figured something didn’t add up. Overall it is a fun course to play with lots of challenges. But with the turf condition it was a bust for holiday golf.
Always enjoyable
First time back at Stoneybrook in 6 months and still an enjoyable place to play. Great amenities with range area, chipping area, and putting green. Pace of play was excellent!! Greens are getting back in shape from aeration and sanding so long putts were a challenge. Looking forward to playing there again soon.
Decent shape even though punched
Great rate, but that was due to aerating. Sandy greens that were recovering from being punched, but is expected this time of year. Rest of course in decent shape, water range with kind of expensive buckets of balls though, but overall with the reasonable snack bar, very low rate due to aeration, is a fair deal. Rangers tight on starting times though residents seem less worried about pace, overall though fair speed. I like this course but don’t get to play it often, due to how busy it tends to be and rates when in good condition.
Take A Pass
Greens just aerated they need 2/3 weeks to recover. At least 6 holes cart path only. Browning grass, crabgrass, dirt/sand cart paths. I think you can play better somewhere else.
The good, play fast, staff friendly.
Great course and conditions
Played here the last day of our golf vacation. Sorry I didn’t play it sooner because would have liked to play it again. Will definitely be on our list for next visit. Course layout is challenging but very fair. You will not get bored playing multiple rounds here.
Very enjoyable round
My first time playing the course and won’t be the last. I enjoyed the layout. It it a fair test of your whole game. I played the middle tees since it was my first time playing but it looks like it would be a great tract from all the tees.
Greens had been aerated in the past few weeks but had recovered nicely. They were a little slow though.
There is a very good variety of holes. The practice area is also top notch.
Very disappointed
I was not happy to pay a premium and still have to pay $10 for range balls.
The cart paths were full of potholes. My back was hurting from all the bouncing.
The tea boxes were in horrible shape.
The overall conditions of the course were not very good
Plugged greens
Although necessary this time of year , plugged and sanded greens make putting an adventure. Wish I had seen they were plugged, I would have played elsewhere
Stoneybrook
Greens were atrocious and just punched. Tees are a mess and need care and seeded. Fairways had clumps of grass from poor mowing practices. Below average public course with no care or pride in maintenance. Traps also a mess.
Thumbs Up
Stoneybrook is a fun golf course. It has a friendly staff and vibe. The layout is varied but always playable, although the greens had been aerated so were rough and sandy on this visit. As it was, I did not have to putt on No. 14, thanks to a hole-in-one! Recommended.
I wish that I would have been informed about the recent green aerifacation when I prepaid the fees.
No where on the course description info was this mentioned.
OVER ALL
I truly love playing this course.
From the moment you arrive the attendants are extremely friendly and helpful. Very nice and pristine facilities. My review is based on present conditions
THE GREENS HAVE BEEN RECENTLY PUNCHED.
I didn't see this warning when I made my reservations, maybe I missed it.
Something small but its always erked me , they have no cups for their Ice and water. They have ice and water but no cups you have to buy a drink or a course mug in order to drink water..
That being said , I truly enjoy playing this course.
