About
Stonybrook Golf Club boasts seven sets of tees, making it a truly versatile course that any skill level can play. It has been certified by the National Golf Course Owners Association as being beginner friendly. The layout features wide fairways with generous landing areas leading to large, undulating greens that are bordered by intimidating bunkers and contoured mounding. The golf course is one of the longest in southwest Florida at 7,453 yards from the back tees, making it a long hitter's paradise. The difficult-to-read greens will challenge even the best players. The course wanders through a scenic landscape of pristine wildlife preserves. The sparkling lakes that are scattered throughout come into play, as do the abundant pines, oaks, and cypress trees.

Course was in good shape. Greens were a little slow. Staff was friendly. Would have been nice if there was a cart pesron. 0
Nice course layout
The course was a good layout. The greens rolled well and considering all the rain, the course conditions were above average. I would play there again. I did find it unusual that they didn’t provide cups for the ice and water machine.

Great personality
Worse pace of play I ever played
On a packed Saturday the course let a 4 some out in front of us that didn’t have any tee time. They walked up thinking the y could get out. Almost 4 hours and 45 mins to get through round. We skipped last 2 holes because it was so slow

Always enjoy playing here. Off season is affordable.
Worst
The carts will not operate on the fairway. They only operate on the cart paths. That means that you must leave the cart, walk to the ball, hit the ball, return to the cart, advance the cart, and repeat walking to the ball, hitting the ball and returning to the cart. They tell me that this only applies to holes that are par 3, but the first hole and hole 15 are Par Four and the cart would not move forward on either of those. Don't worry, you will never see me at Stony Brook again.
Golfdog
The greens were really slow. The issue that you have to bring your own cup to get water was infuriating. The tee boxes and fairways were nice.

Nice course
This was my second round here. I play the white tees. It was set up really long and hard. Pins were back and tucked. A real challenge but not unfair. I liked it.
Hot golf cold play
Course not in great shape neither was my game! Greens under maintenance should be stated somewhere in the website prior to booking
Bring your own water container
This is the first golf course where they didn’t have any cups for water .. they put a sign on the ice and water machine that you could buy a container which is fine but when you play golf in Florida water is a must and they should be able to fill a cup with water for their own safety in the heat that you play in..
But must be a tight budget but they do have ones that you can buy.. ummm all about making money..
