Great Municipal course
This is a walk-on course; there are not true tee times, although you can get deals thru Tee Off or Golf Now which allow you to start around a certain time.
Course is generally good, although there are some rough spots in some greens and fairways...this is not Augusta National, this is your neighborhood course that's a great deal if your a hacker like most of us.
Ladies tee boxes are also in rough shape, but the layout is challenging but not frustrating...if you can place the ball where you want, you will be rewarded.

Golf course has potential
The course has about 4 greens which need some TLC , most tee boxes need work , but that aside it’s a fun place to play or work on your game .

Staff isn't real friendly. They push you to not use anything except to come to them directly to pay and play. Course is in fair condition and most greens are in poor shape. Golf carts of in disrepair.
Worth the $15.00 hot deal but not more.

5somes and 6somes
I will die on this hill. This course née to crack down on the groups of 5 or 6 playing together. Saw a group of 6 in 4 carts with 3 bag’s total amongst them yesterday. Several groups of 5 dotted the course. Fix this issue and players starting on 10 and this course will improve greatly. Heck I’d probably join and pay dues but not until this is fixed.

Six-somes shouldn’t be allowed
Course is in pretty good shape. Was going around pretty nicely until we got to the corner of the dogleg on the 16th hole and there’s a six-some on the green. Three men and three women. Come on people do better than that. Nowhere are groups of 6 allowed but unfortunately it happens at Chiefland somewhat regularly. And no they didn’t let us play through.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. The course is decent enough and fun to play
Except for about 3 greens which could use some TLC the course plays ok . Fairways a little rough but rolling the ball helps if necessary.

Good value for the money
Enjoyed the course and was intrigued with hole 11 and 16. Both are dog leg par 4s and good luck getting a par on each. The entire design is rather plain but adequate for a quick round when in the area. Greens were slow but puttable. Pace was good playing on my own and would recommend anyone checking it out.
