About
Carved from pine, oak, and magnolia trees, Cypress Lakes Golf Club tumbles through gently hilly terrain, a rare landscape for a Florida course. Formerly known as the Solutia Golf Club, Cypress Lakes is also covered with hundreds of crepe myrtles and blooming azaleas and of course, cypress trees. Water comes into play on a few holes and the trees can prove to be tricky but the challenges of the golf course are balanced with the generous width of the fairways. The course's playability appeals to a variety of different skill levels, especially with four sets of tees available as well. In addition to the course, there are also extensive practice facilities available at Cypress Lakes Golf Club including an all-grass driving range, a practice putting green, and a practice bunker.

Really enjoy this course
How a course should be managed, no nonsense a la osceola
Pretty, varied layout
No frills but hard not to have good time playing golf
Cypress Lakes
Considering the weather and the recent storms and flood, this course drained very well. It is one of the very few courses that are in very good conditions from T to Green.
A superb course challenging yet playable for any player regardless of experience or ability.
Too many groups of five!
There were too many groups of five , no starter! Had to wait at least five minutes on every hold on the back. Asked the group of five to play thru, they refused a group of two, so we quit on the 15th hole!
Good Shape!
The course was in good condition. The staff was nice. It was worth the price to play there.
Overall good
The course is a challenge. I have bad knees and the course is not a good one for that. Greens are all on big hills and have bad run offs.
Beautiful day on a nice golf course
I thoroughly enjoyed a beautiful day doing what I enjoy: playing golf! Played by myself until 13 and paired up with another single. Good time!

Certain challenge
This course has a variety of shots waiting to be hit. It certainly take careful course management but rewards you for risks of more difficult shots. Being able to work the ball and play with elevation changes is a must. The course tends to hold too much moisture would be the only negative. If you are a high ball hitter look for no roll and only carry.
Varied Terrain
What a beautiful and unusual course for the Panhandle of Florida. The course is rolling and laid out very well. It is challenging and it was very enjoyable to play.
Cypress
Front 9 is tough, back 9 more forgiving. wait a week after rain, drainage not too good. Inconsistent greens during winter, some fast and some very slow. Nice course. Nice people.
Haven't played here in awhile…Good shape.
Greens were good, over seeded so a bit hairy. Rained day before so there were wet areas , but impressed with overall condition and challenge of course.
Great layout. Hilly, blind shots over hills at 6-7 holes
If you plan on walking, wear good shoes, it'll work your calves out.
A fun course to play.
The course has water, rolling uneven terrain and well placed sand traps. Those features make for interesting play. The greens are a little slower than other area course that we play, but they are in good shape.
Great value!
Course has some nice hills that add some interest. This is something most courses in this area don't have. Course is in good condition and is fun to play.
" A GOOD CHOICE " !
NICE LAYOUT, WELL MAINTAINED, SCENIC VIEWS , WITH A FAIR CHALLENGE. I LIKED THIS COURSE BECAUSE OF IT'S "OLD STYLE" FEELING . LOT'S OF ROLLING HILLS, MATURE TREES, WATER ON MANY HOLES, DOG LEGS, LAY-UPS, AND WELL MAINTAINED GREENS & FAIRWAYS WITH ENOUGH BUNKERS GIVES A SORT OF "RETRO" THROW- BACK ATMOSPHERE ! THIS FACILITY HAS A DRIVING RANGE, PUTT-CHIP & BUNKER PRACTICE AREA. "NO" IT ISN'T THE "MODERN / RESORT - STYLE" FACILITY BUT HAS A NICE PRO SHOP , CONCESSION STAND AND COVERED PATIO THAT SERVE'S THOSE NEED'S "NICELY" ! OH- YEA, "LOT'S OF NICE FOLKS OUT THERE" !!!!
Was a good day of Golf
Coarse is a older one, the greens were in ok condition but some had grass / weed issues. Most looked great but were quite slow. Marshal on staff was quite helpful and a real nice guy. Overall I will play this coarse again,
