About
Perdido Bay Golf Club has hosted several notable players including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Kite, and Curtis Strange. It also formerly served as the site to the Pensacola Open for a decade-long stretch and while it may not be host anymore it still preserves its integrity as a challenging, championship course. The golf course is long and narrow, rewarding both distance and accuracy. Although it is mostly flat there is some strategic mounding that causes tricky lies throughout. Perdido Bay Golf Club's fairways are flanked by multiple cuts of rough and the greens are large and undulating. Many of the greens, as well as the tees, are also elevated. In addition to the golf course, there are also extensive practice facilities that include a large driving range, putting green, chipping green, and greenside and fairway bunkers.

Beautiful, challenging and wildlife is abundant!
Challenging course with a lot of water (ask me how I know lol). Greens were nice and most were very nice. You can shoot darts, if you have the accuracy. Chips will stop quickly and it will take a decent hit from da putter for uphill putts. Drink cart was well stocked and the clubhouse has a "dog" or "burger" with chips to go, so you can get in and out quickly at the turn. We played a 3 hr 30 min round. We never ran into anyone or had anyone behind us waiting the entire time. That includes a stop at the turn. Deer, big azz turtles, gators (yes, real ones. One was about 7 ft I saw, right by my ball. Jerk.) and even a Heron that didn't give two hoots about us. This was my first time playing here and I will definitely be back.
Spongy greens
Drove 40 miles round-trip to play this course. The greens were extremely slow, spongy, and inaccurate. You would have been better off chipping on the green, rather than putting to get the ball closer to the hole. Other than that, everything was fine.
Vacation 2026
Always look forward to playing at Perdido Bay. Course was as good or better as it could be for mid July. Until next year

Been playing Perdido fairly regularly since 2018. That spring was my first time, and we saw a gator sunning itself next to a pond. Have not seen one since, in 8 years...until today...there were two! It was definitely pretty cool.
As usual, the course is a challenge, and a delight to play!
Really nice course
No need to pack a cooler, as it’s not allowed on the course. They need a few more dollars for the golf round… On a brighter note, the greens are in really good shape. They are a little slow but well maintained. The carts are equipped with gps and can fairly accurately measure your distance to the pin, very nice extra.
Compared to other local courses on vacation
Great layout, great condition. Best course for the money in the area.
You can't drive the cart to the parking lot to retrieve your belongings. Couldn't play as a single eventho there was no one playing after our group. The next group was at least an hour behind out group. I had to pay an extra $25 for single player cart use, I think this happened because I got a Golf Now preferred rate.It was 95 degrees and I wanted to use a portable fan to keep myself cool.
However, the golf course was in excellent condition
