About
Marcus Pointe Golf Club tumbles across 600 acres of rolling woodlands, which is a rare occurrence in the mostly flat Panhandle area. The back nine is where golfers really begin to notice the dramatic undulations. Earl Stone, who has designed several Gulf Coast golf courses, created the layout. He has built his reputation on building playable and affordable courses. While water may not come into play often, golfers will still be kept on their toes by the numerous sand bunkers and an abundance of trees and of course, the tricky angles and elevation changes throughout. The golf course is challenging but fair with a playability that appeals to golfers of all skill levels. The greens are well manicured and keep all abilities in mind. Four sets of tees make Marcus Pointe Golf Club even more accessible.

The fairways were in great shape and very well maintained. The greens were also in good condition, just a bit slower than usual due to overseeding, but still rolled true and consistent.
Overall, the course is in excellent shape right now and makes for an enjoyable round. Definitely worth a visit!

Over the year’s, we have played this course! Always loved the layout but now the course conditions have improved immensely!

Big Improvements
The course is in good shape. The putting greens have come a long way since last spring. The staff is always courteous and friendly. Got a nice rate from Golf Now. I will be back

Like the title says everything was great except the grass on the greens was long.

Beautiful course , great fairways , challenging hazard zones , definitely a fun course !! Greens could use a bit of work but for the time this course hss been sound its in greay shspe !

First Timer
Enjoyed our first time here. We were paired with another pair who made it more fun. Course was beautiful, although many of the greens were hard and fast, we will definitely be repeat customers. Course got a bit backed up but they did their best to keep us on track. Staff in the clubhouse were professional and friendly. No complaints here.
Fast greens
Some greens had issues but nothing too bad. The greens were very fast and made it more difficult for me.
Slowly Improving
The course is a work in progress. Golfed it two months ago, slight improvement on the greens. Several fairways had checker board patches which will take time to get better.
Nice but needs a little bit work
Staff was very nice. They had everyone starting on the back. Back nine was nice a few bad places on the greens but they are working on them. The front nine needs more work and it looks like they are doing it. Over all nice
Better Greens
Overall condition of this course continues to improve, considering the number of golfers that play on this course. The Greens have continued improving and I'll be looking forward to playing them later this fall.

Fooled by previous reviews
We decided to play Marcus Point based on recent reviews regarding the greens' improvement. I'm not sure where the other recent reviewers play, but we were VERY disappointed. The greens are no better than when last played in March. Spotty bare dirt areas on all greens. Laid sod in other areas. We allowed ourselves to move the ball away from the poor spots on practically every hole. The second complaint is the aggravating notifications that occur multiple times each hole on the cart's GPS system, and we couldn't silence it. We don't need 4+ reminders to order food at the turn, or paid ads popping up at tee boxes promoting a paid partnership. Lastly, we only need to be notified if a cart is in a blind shot location or show other cart locations when on the same hole. If the blind shot is clear then no need to notify. The back 9 notifications were fewer, but the front 9 notifications were aggravating and a distraction on what should be a relaxing track. To finish on a positive note, the complimentary iced wet towels were very appreciated.
Love the course but the greens were in really bad shape
Overall good but definitely had some issues
I have played this course numerous times. It's close to my house and the layout is great. Water doesn't come into play much at all and it's fairly forgiving as long as you don't hit too far to the sides that don't border another hole. There were a lot of areas under repair and the greens were in very bad shape. They tried to repair them but there were a lot of blotchy areas that definitely affected the putting.
