Avoid This Golf Course
My wife and I stopped in Lake City en route to break up our trip to Mobile and this was the only available golf course. The USGA should make them remove "Country Club" for the club's name. It is the worst golf course we've played in at least the last 10 years. The greens were half way decent, but the tee boxes were deplorable, the fairways were more dirt than grass and we'll probably have to visit a Chiropractor to get our spines aligned after driving over the broken pavement minefields that passed for what few cart paths existed.
Nice old club with a variety of holes .
The course was fun to play , could use some fairway and cart path TLC . Greens were decent , played the back 9 in the rain .
Worth the drive from jax
First time playing here and tho quite a drive from Jax, well worth the trip.
Nice layout with not so easy type holes.
Challenging Course
Had a great time playing this course for the first time. One of the nicest in the area and great value if you can get it on a hot deal. I will be back.
Fun Course - Improving daily
This is the 2nd time playing this course the first being a few years ago. It's a unique and fun layout. A good mix of holes. A few Hmm??? but I think all courses have a few of those. When we played before the course was struggling in terms of condition, losing parts of greens, fairways a little rough, and the traps were bad. While there is still work to be done, the course showed much improvement. The bunkers have mostly been redone, the fairways look much better, and the greens roll true for the most part with only a few minor bad spots. They were awful slow but that may have been due to the weather. The course was worth it for the GolfNow discount. It's in a good spot for us to play on our way to Tampa from Atlanta. We will return. I would recommend this course for others.
Great Weather
Could not ask for a better day to play a round of golf. Really nice layout and views of the course were super. Greens were putting fast and smooth. About the only thing I would say needed a little help where some of the tee’s could use some TLC. First time playing Country Club at Lake City and will be back.
Love the layout
The conditions are very wet and soggy because of the excessive amount of rain. We still enjoyed the round.
My wife and I had a great experience at this golf course.
Five star rating for the greens, fairways, tee boxes all were in excellent shape and we will be back. The superintendent and his staff were very courteous on the course and the golf staff very friendly. Can’t wait to play here again.
