Slow and unconcerned
Could be a nice course if they could keep decent pace of play. We spent 5 1/2 hours on a short course that should have been a 3 1/2 hour round. The group in front of us and the group behind us all left the course without finishing. A large group of members went off ahead of the group I. Front of us. From what we saw, they weren’t bad golfers, just horribly slow. I asked the guy in the pro shop if he had a Marshall and he looked as if he had never heard the term. The course could make more money by keeping the pace up but it was obvious no such effort will be made. And to the “pro” in the green shirt ahead of us… move along. Every bad shot you hit was your fault, not the lie, no the green…
Greens Are Great
The course is in excellent shape for this time of year!
A hidden gem!
After golfing in the more crowded Tampa area, we found this hidden gem as we traveled north back to Wisconsin!
Nice greens!
The only challenge is they tell you 90 degree with power cart but have no cart paths!!
Great course
Very playable course in a very beautiful setting - have to stay in the fairway, otherwise you'll be dealing with trees and other blocks to your shots. Fairways and greens in good condition; some tee boxes (particularly ladies tees) were a bit ragged. Great pace of play; two of us made it around in 3 hrs 40 min.

I love the old country club golf course feel. A better rating if cart paths were better. Greens were great!

Great course layout, greens are always in great shape. Book your tee time online for substantial discount in the mornings. Very friendly staff, good practice area.

Toughest course I have played in recent memory.friend is a 6 handicap an he played from tips an wore him out.i could have played from ladies tees an wdnt been any easier for me.but the guy in proshop accommodated my wife as a rider no charge.bucket balls no charge an was as nice as could be.what a day we had .ty lake city
Nice Course
Took a chance and drove from Jacksonville and was not disappointed with the course.
Some of holes force you to play smart and use long irons off the tee.

What a treat.
Stopped in Lake City on our trip to the beaches. My clubs go everywhere with me and this course was near I75 and the hotel. We had an early round and it was obvious that the greens had been freshly mowed. The pro shop staff was very friendly and informative. The carts were comfortable and clean. My wife and I both work in the golf industry and we notice the smaller details of a well run course. The course itself is not particularly long or tight, but the doglegs and fairway traps will get your attention. This is a $50 course that is easily worth the fee. I’m happy to have found this course and will play again, soon.
