Lot of character
Some fairways rough, only one green was bad otherwise greens were great. Nice layout to offer some challenges but not too difficult for all players.

Course in shorter than we usually play but the course was very nice. A few green need work but otherwise nice day

Lakes doesn't disappoint
I've played this course, maybe 5 times. Always enjoyable. Staff is great! The course is in pretty good shape with the exception of a couple of greens that are still suffering from a problem last year. I'd go back, it's a great value for the money, especially considering the cost to play 18 in the Villages.

Not a standard course
You have to remember that this is not a standard golf course.
There are many par 3s. The course is better than it was with new greens on the front nine.
The back 9 is still in poor shape and many of the trees lining the course have grown into the fairway making for some difficulty unless a draw or fade is manufacture

Greens In Rough Shape
Front side was OK condition wise until #8. Rest of the round the greens were not great. Word is replacing several shortly.

Close to The Villages
Fairways were nice condition
Green were rough with hardly any grass
Carts were clean and good condition
Nice patio to enjoy a beverage after your round of golf

Don't be fooled by the par 63
Great little course had a Blast
Back 9 great layout awesome a couple of greens were scruffy
But a Fun place Great Value$$$

50/50
New owners have made improvements lately. Basically an executive type layout with plenty of par 3's, a few short par 4's and a finishing par 5. Greens were far better on the front side than on the back. Some overseeding, but nt as much as you would like. Compared to years ago, much improved although I miss the look of the ponds that had growth around them. Now they just look like sink holes filled with water. Worth a round when nothing else is available, but not something you might want to golf on a regular basis.
