Course was fun to play but the staff could be a little more friendly and helpful. Are tee time was 12:07 but when we checked in somehow it got moved up to 11:58. By the time we got the attention of the starter it was all ready 12:00.He said go to course C and join the twosome. Well they had already teed off. We played as a twosome.

Fairways were pretty sparse and greens a little bumpy. Speed of play was good, not much waiting time. Good staff.

A Hidden 1920's 27 Hole Gem in Lakeland FL
A Hidden 1920's Gem in Lakeland Florida. Welcome to 27 Beautiful Holes of 1920's Style Old Country Charm. This course was designed in the 1920's Style for the Wealth folks of the time, many of them former Cleveland Indians Baseball greats such as Tris Speaker as well as others of the time. The Entire Staff is OUTSTANDING including (Brock Witmyer > GM), just ask for a brief tour of the 1920's Style Clubhouse and Grounds, they will show you the History of the Course and Surrounding area as if you lived in the 1920's era! The layout is challenging as they have 5 Tee locations (Yellow, Green, White, Blue & Black), the Fairways are cut with a light rough cut highlighting the edges, the Greens hold your perfectly placed shots as well as run true for putting, and the Sand if you end up in it is resourceful with the clean cut edges of traps exposed. Give it a try, as I am returning again later in the week.

Slow Day
Waiting 18 holes behind a group of 5 just doesn't cut it.

Looks ok
Played A/C course both sides looked ok no big issues the weather was a little cool and damp some holes the greens weren’t as good but nothing that was bad no matter when I play here seems like the starters r not that friendly makes u feel like u shouldn’t be on the course just not the way to send people out to play there round

Needs some work
Overall, the course is in pretty good shape. However, the fairways need a lot of work. Many areas of no grass or nothing but weeds. The greens are in good shape. They were slow on the day we played, but because they were wooly and wet. I love this course but was disappointed this time. Hopefully, management will get enough similar reports to take action.
