Camelia/Boganvilia Golf Course at Cleveland Heights Golf Club

The main thing that has me rating this a 3* is that the range was mats only and they only allowed irons. I always play my best round and have the most fun making good shots after going through a pretty specific warmup routine that is best done on grass with all of my clubs, especially driver. Everyone is different on how they prepare but for me this is the reason I would not return here if the range is in that state.

The practice green was very nice but was not the same as the greens on course which meant the 30 minutes I spent on it was not as helpful as I'd like.

The chipping area was closed which was also not ideal for warmups.

The carts are very slow and most of the cart paths are broken concrete making for a slow rough ride.

The layout was good, pretty wide open and easy to find those first few drivers shots that didn't land on the fairway.. I found the greens to be inconsistent, some slow and others fast. Many of the pin placements were very close to the edge leaving very little room to work with, reminded me of PGA Tour Sunday pins..

Pace of play on a Friday late morning/early afternoon was slow. Took 5 hours to play 18, very unexpected.

Overall, the course is in very good condition. They just punched the greens this week. However they did a great job. The had a lot of sams on them buy still rolled true, albeit just a little slow. In much better condition thag most courses considering the lack.of water recently.

Corse is in excellent condition for this time of year. Greens were near perfect. Pace was a little slow for the number of golfers on hand, but finished in under 4 hours. Keep up the great work!

Course was in pretty good condition considering end of winter season wear and Polk County drought. Couple par 3’s had alternate tees. Greens decent and not fast. Slow front but still 4 hr. Round

It was a great day any day on the golf course is better than a day at work.

Course A closed for year making B and C overcrowded, Forced to bring cart back by 7p which is very early for any place, They will police you excessively to make it happen too, Greens are rough but not many hazards on faraway

I’ve golfed Cleveland dozens of times the last 5 years. It’s not the worst shape I’ve seen it in, but it was pretty rough. Still a good deal for the “hot deal”, but it needs work! It was very dry (yes we need rain), but the greens were very rough and sandy.. Fairways were super dry and many times I had to find a patch of grass to hit my second shots from.

Course A is closed for new greens and tee boxes. I’m sure once the summer rains come it’ll be back in decent shape.

The greens had been painted, sprayed with an added dye. Some were sticky slow Some were fast. Not much rough.

A course all new greens, resurface. So C to B. And the 9 hole only just play 9 and then you on your own. Very slow play with no ranger. They did have a beverage cart.

The Heights is always a good course. Just be aware, they are currently doing construction on course "A", so it's closed. The fairways are in rough shape due to watering restrictions as well. The entire course will be closed next week for green fumigation. I would give it a few months, and they will be back better than ever!

Challenging course with raised greens and traps around most greens. Plenty of water hazards but had great wildlife to view while playing.
